Ok, so I am back from my yearly Gulf Shores vacation and Yes, I did gain a couple of lbs. Not bad, I feared that I would of gained more than I did. Now it's back to the treadmill, elliptical, and eating the right foods. I did eat hamburgers, munchies that I thought were out of my life for good, and also forgot a couple of days of cardio. I am, however, anxious to get back on track with the SP and continue on my journey to weight loss and a healthier me!!! Today is the first day back.......

    Hey, when will you write something new on your blog? have you been that busy that you cant write once a month? Heck I am very busy, not a day goes by that I am not doing ten million things but I still have time to get on sparks. If you cant write all your "friends" a blog at least once a month to let people know your still breathing (lol) or working hard at what you do, do! Hope your losing? (I been up and down the scale, but I know keeping honest with friends about my weight helps. And so does connecting with others. Motivating one another helps too! ) The Sparklers motivate me! lol

Hope your vacation was a good one and your fine. Keep busy thats the key! Sailing these days? (I wish I was able to.) Remember if you watch Tv or spend too much time on your boat. ... getting up from a sitting position every 15 minutes helps, you can lose weight a pound a day, believe it or not; if you move every 15 minutes! (Least thats what I have read, but for me I have to eat less for that to happen, exercise is not enough for me!) . Its how I get my aerobics in. lol somedays I cant get out, but been losing slow, but surely! I lost a pound this week, but not back where I should be before my setback (depression) . 7 more pounds to go, and I will be back where I was in January. How about you? Still a long way off from where I want to be... susana

Middle of March

Well, now it's the middle of march and it's time to look back and see if I have made any progress? Well, I have lost weight, though not as much as I really wanted to or could have.... I think that if I really look back I could have done better. I could have taken more time on the stretching, not my favorite thing, and could of even spent more time on the cardio workouts..... On that subject, I think in the future I will try and add more effort into my workouts...... I have, however, on the most part have been pretty good at keeping inside of my calorie range, logging everything from calories, goals, etc. I really think that is what really changed some "old habits" being able to see in black and white what I use to inhale on a regular basis and how little I did as far as an active lifestyle goes.. So now I feel it is time to reexamine my goals, tweek my exercise program to be alittle more agressive and active and maybe up the minutes on the calorie burning. Also, spend more time on the stretching. Always room for improvement....... I do have to say though that I have been very consistent which is a word that really has never been a part of in my life, so that's positive!!!

    Ummmmm! Could you give me more info to help you, lol. I am glad you are staying inside your cals. I have been struggling in that area. I just love to eat!

Well, not where I should be, weight wise, that is. I would say that I am about 5 lbs behind! I'm not giving up. Maybe I will drop a few lbs. all at once soon.

    You are doing fine mom. But do not expect to lose all of it at once. If you do I have the hope I will lose 40 pounds at once, lol.

    just gettin started at talking to other sparkpeople... been doing diet and exercise program for a few months. In the beginning i really seen results, but then vacation and holidays.... i have been stuck havent gained any back but havent lost any. i need some support and new motivation. I too, am mid-life and just need to get rid of that extra 20-25 lbs.

i AM BEGINNING TO FEEL LIKE I MIGHT BE GETTING SOMEWHERE. DON'T FEEL SO BLOATED. BEEN STICKING WITH THE DIET AND EXERCISE, AND WATER CONSUMPTION. i think i might be seeing the scale loose some lbs too. ill weigh myself in the morning and record it. HEE HAW
