Starting Over Again.

There is an old joke; Quitting smoking is easy, I do it all of the time. Well, I never smoked, but losing weight is easy, I do it all of the time. and I gain it back just as easily. This time I am sticking with it. I have to , no more excuses. this is my time. My Skinny Fiber, keeps my appetite down while reminding me that I need to be careful. I can still enjoy food, but no mindless munching while I watch tv. In the last week, I have lost 8 pounds. I know my goal tracker says seven, but if you notice, that was set several years ago and I have been all over the place. This is the lowest I have been for a while, So I am cautiously excited. Keep me in your prayers and have a very Merry Christmas!

But we did 11 miles today. I am not feeling it as badly as last week, so I think I'll stick with this distance for a while. I just need to find something to keep me active during the week.

Hiking the NCR trail- sounds like fun- I wish I had known 2 weekends I was looking for a hiking partner- I was hiking with the Md Hiking club, but Sat is the only day I have a chance of hiking as Sunday I'm in church- however 10- 11 miles is a great hiking distance- My Aunt used to live in White Hall and so I know that area really well- You are doing great and the weekly hike will burn some calories- I hope your enjoying this. Will this be weekly??

OMG I did it again, This week we walked, on Saturday, a total of 13 miles (plus a little to make sure we did it). Since we got started late, it was dark long before we finished. It was easy to see though because the snow was so bright.
By the time we finished. I could barely move. Believe it or not, I am not sore this morning. I am ready to go again next week. I am torn between making 13 or so miles a comfortable walk, or keep challenging myself to go farther. As long as I continue to burn calories, I am determined to make this a habit....

My New Blog

Ok, So my fiance started me walking and hiking various places, and one that I really like is the NCR Trail north of Baltimore. This trail connects Baltimore to York Pennsylvania, through an abandonded railroad path, which now is run by Maryland's Park Service.
So today, I decide that I am going walking. My pace generally is 3.5-4 miles per hour, and I have discovered some landmarks along the way. So while I haven't decided h ow far I will go, I did decide to walk to an area know as White Hall. Its easy, a little over 3.5 miles. I meet people along the way, talk to the Man Upstairs, and sing quietly when people are around and a bit louder when I am alone. The only problem with going any direction on this trail is that you have to turn around and come back! Its not like your own neighbirhood where you can take a shortcut home. So I ended up going 7.5 miles, my feet are klilling me, but according to my GPS watch, I burned over 800 calories. Not bad for one day. I intend to do this every weekend weather permitting, so pray for me! ...... well, pray for my feet.
