FIXATED ON HIM!!!

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

First off I want to say I'm so emoticon I haven't been blogging positive affirmations, but with no sound on my computer right now, I'm not able to search for what God wants me to pass on to you. I'm relying on hearing it on the Family Life Radio Station. That's where todays song comes from.

My eyes are fixed on Him who is above all and with Him nurturing me, I can become what He ultimately wants me to be. I'm letting this run through my mind and spirit! The One Who Is Above All wants me to be like HIM! Oh glorious day, when that comes about! However, for right now, I'm His hands, His feet, His spokes person, His to direct at His will, and I'll just humbly say, "Thank You, Lord! Use me in whatever way You see fit! I love what you're doing in me, for me, to me, and through me! Turn me every which way but loosed Lord! Turn me every which way but loosed! In the Matchless Name of Jesus, AMEN!!

I just asked my DH how to fix the wire for your speaker but it is more complicated than I can describe. You would need a crimper and some electrical tape. A guy thing I think. As long as our attention is concentrated on the Almighty nothing can go too wrong. Good on you for your positive attitude.

Yes, This Is Us!!!

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

I read a blog this PM, and I feel a strong need to pass it on. It's from Patriciaann46's blog and when you read it, I believe you'll feel what I felt!

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:

The MELODY out of music,

The PRIDE out of appearance,

The COURTESY out of driving,

The ROMANCE out of love,

The COMMITMENT out of marriage,

The RESPONSIBILITY out of parenthood,

The TOGETHERNESS out of the family,

The LEARNING out of education,

The SERVICE out of patriotism,

The GOLDEN RULE from rulers,

The NATIVITY scene out of cities,

The CIVILITY out of behavior,

The REFINEMENT out of language,

The DEDICATION out of employment,

The PRUDENCE out of spending,

The AMBITION out of achievement

or

GOD out of government and school.

And we are NOT the ones who eliminated PATIENCE and TOLERANCE from personal relationships and interactions with others.

And we DO understand the meaning of patriotism and remember those who have fought and died for our country.

Just look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts as they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts!!!

YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!!!

I am a senior citizen too and to some extent a lot of those things are true but I see something far more important coming about. No longer can children and helpless adults be treated badly with impunity. It still is far from perfect but it is moving in that direction. No hitting of children sanctioned by educators or the state. These countries belong to first nations, immigrants and people of all colors and religions. Finally the conservative right no longer completely controls what is done in the country or in our schools. There are a huge bunch of minorities who breathed an immense sigh of relief because of this. No longer are women treated like second class citizens without being able to protest, Thank God even when that kind of thing is in the hearts of the old boy networks. I thank God every day that people are able to choose. All people!!!

A Universal Prayer

Sunday, August 17, 2014

I have no sound for my computer, as a mouse ate through the speaker wire. That little minx, I've been trying to catch him in a trap for a week now, but he's sly and cunning. I though D con was suppose to attract them so they would eat the bait and die. It's surely isn't working!

So, I've never heard this rendition of the prayer, but I love Michael W. Smith and his music. I also picked this one, as it's the only one I saw that had words to it also. I do that because there are some that visit my blogs, and they have a problem processing the music, so they can leave their sound off and read the words. So without further ado, here's A Universal Prayer!

About 2 yrs. ago I spotted a mouse in our basement. We put a trap in the corridor where it would run but strangely it never did go into the trap. It is a live trap and I have left the trap in that corridor. So what happened, did it see there just was nothing to eat and go to someone else's house? Anyway I am glad as I really am creeped out by vermin. The dog goes down there regularly and checks but ..... nothing. I hope you are able to get that fixed as it seems you love music from the computer and music is a gift from the Almighty.

We get mice too as our whole subdivision was all fields previously. I have a beautiful calico cat. She has become quite the mouser. Even declawed, she catches them. Good luck with your mouse.
