Each of the circles has an attribute written on it.

SparkCoach Assignment 9/07

My assignment is to blog about what my plans are or what I have done when people around me have tried to sabotage my weight loss goals.

It has never happened.

My husband - God love him! - has seen me in a size 32 and a size 6 and is always, always supportive of me...no matter what size I am. I was about a size 20 when we first met.

The only negative thing I have ever heard from him was once he was afraid that I was going to lose "too much" weight.

What? When people have asked me what my goal weight is, I always reply, "I want to be thin enough - just once! - so that someone would come up to me and say, 'Margie, please eat something...anything!'"

My husband will keep his goodies out of the kitchen and stashed out-of-sight for me....and if I am having a rough time, and I ask him not to bring anything into the house, he is understanding and never complains about it.

People in my life have seen me go up and down so many times....no one ever has tried to keep me fat.

I am very fortunate.

SparkCoach Assignment 9/04

My assignment is to blog about what motivates me to lose weight.

That is fairly easy: the love of motion.

The last time I was at a normal body weight - for about 3 seconds! - I enjoyed just moving. I walked miles every day all over town...just because! It gave me pleasure.

Also, it would be nice to look good in horizontal stripes again....

My Dear Friends,

Choosing a motivating quote was part of my SparkCoach assignment for today. Little did I realize I would be 'killing two birds with one stone', so to speak, when I began hunting for my quote!

I make it a point to check on all my spark friends' pages, and on the few teams that I am a member of on a daily basis.

Well, here it is 10:45pm and I just barely got my food tracked!

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed today....

It started out by my oversleeping, so I did not get to the gym before my SparkPeople Live! meeting at 9am. I usually am home from my workout by 7:30am, but today I didn't leave the house until around 11am.

By the time I got home, I was drenched - you all know how hot it is everywhere in the USA these days! By the time I showered and ate something, it was around 1pm.

I have 12 units of college credits to earn this semester and I am feeling behind already on this, the second day of class! Then, tonight, I get to working at my job and feel like I accomplished absolutely nothing!

I so regret not checking in on my Spark Friends and Spark Teams! I feel so lost and out-of-touch with everyone today...

Now I feel like kicking myself you-know-where after reading the quote that I chose: How did those people budget their time effectively?!!!

I am usually very organized with my time-management skills, but boy, I feel like I am wearing rollerskates going uphill today....

President Obama and I have the same 24 hours in a day....I am gonna try much harder tomorrow!

SparkCoach Assignment 2

My assignment is to blog about my most common excuses that get in the way of my workouts--and plan to counter each excuse to stay on track.

My biggest excuse is that I slept too late and a.) I just know that all the machines in the gym are taken and b.) the gym will be too crowded because all the women will be coming in for their aerobics class.

Believe it or not, I can usually talk myself into thinking that these are good excuses!

What I do to stay on track is: go to bed at a reasonable hour rather than to stay up late so I can get up early in the morning and just get going! Plus, the time that I just made myself go and my excuses were very accurate, it was enough to make me buckle down and make sure that I go to bed at a reasonable hour!

    great job in recognizing your excuses.

Mine is that I hate to exercise, and don't like the pain.
I don't like to sweat.

I conteract that by having joined Curves so that I am enjoying myself working out with other women.

I use a towel tucked into my shirt to catch the sweat. (I have yet to find a head band that I can wear that will help with the sweat.)

    Good luck with the getting to sleep earlier. That is such a good habit to get into; but, it is one that I also struggle with. I'm an Improve Your Sleep Habits challenge dropout.

    Really good:). I can actually say to myself, yes, will go after I blah...blah... blah. Of course whatever it is never gets done either, or the list just gets longer. Excuses are never hard to come by!
