Getting to Know Myself Better.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday you throw me for a loop. You three always get me to abandon my healthy ways. I start so good on Monday, follow through on Tuesday and then, Bammm! I am tired from work, I deserve a treat, and can be lazy just because I worked hard the past two days. The excuses for these three days are limitless.

I now know what throws me off. I know what goes through my mind those three days. Now its time to find a way to turn those excuses into motivation to achieve my health and weight loss goal. I am going to lose 20 pounds, it will ust come off quicker when I find out how to beat my own excuses!

    Schedule your workouts with maybe a very high intensity on Monday, low to medium on Tuesday, a good stretch on Wednesday and then a High on Thursday, etc.
Schedule your favorite workout for Thursday, your best relaxing, one for Wednesday and then on Friday maybe use your favorite workouts DVD, or instructor.

Plan your menus for the week and plan a "small" treat each day that you follow your plan.

Frustration.

I am frustrated. I am irrated with myself. I have finally made the plan to get back into a healthy eating routine. I went out and spent and extra 70 on food for the week that was healthy with the justification that it would be put to good use and it is good to invest in health. However i just binged. Ew... I am literally grossed out that i wasted my efforts I made this week. I just want to be back on track and feel confident about my choices and be in control of the food decisions I make. Ickkk. time to press restart....and all I want to do is eat a cookie:/

    Don't get all down on yourself! Learn from it, and move on. Just like anything else in life. Sure binge-ing is the last thing you want to do right now, but you can't take it back now. All you can do is think, and make a move to change that dirty little habit.

Believe me, been there done that. But hating on yourself will just make it worse. Tomorrow is a new day!

Enjoy the rest of your night, even jump around a little bit!

Today I rode the bike for 33 minutes and did the elliptical machine for 30 minutes. I followed it with an ab workout and 40 lunges. I realized that I don't have organized workouts and that is what led me to develop tendentious. I should start having regular and planned workouts instead of spontaneously working too hard! Tomorrow morning I am going to talk to the fitness desk at the YMCA and set up a workout routine for the month.

On another note, I have been researching gluten free diets. I read the book Wheat Belly by Willaim Davis. The book was very informative about celiac disease. I don't have the disease, but am always interested in learning about new dietary lifestyles. I also joined the gluten free spark team. I am a little hesitant to start a gluten free lifestyle as I am a college student and also an active vegetarian. Has anyone started or researched this lifestyle?
