"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2 (NLT)
Hi, everyone. When cable went out in my area, it stayed out for 2 days. It's finally up and running, but that makes me behind on your blogs. I will never catch up. (LOL) I have 50 to respond to and everyone keep adding. (LOL) So , I'll start with todays date. Sorry I tried with the I-phone but It used alot of minutes. .
Have a wonderful day. Now on with the word.
When we become a Christian, God begins a transformation in our life. His goal is to transform us into all He created us to be. He does this by renewing our mind. This is more than just the way we think, it is also the way we feel. It includes those sensations that send us into mood swings or addictive behavior. God wants to be involved in our emotional pain. He wants to heal our negative memories and restructure our irrational beliefs. But how does He do this? He does this through His Holy Spirit as we study His word, spend time in prayer and fellowship with other believers. It is through this process that we mature into the person He wants us to be. Today, give yourself to God. Submit yourself to the process of change and let Him transform you through the renewing of your mind.

"Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty- the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come."' Revelation 4:8 (NLT)
What is it about God's Holiness that moves me so much? Holiness, I can't comprehend it. I try to put my mind around it but it is too vast. I think what moves me when I sing, "Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty" is the fact that this Holy God allows me to adore Him, to worship Him. To be in His presence and sing about the very thing that would normally separate me from Him is so humbling. His majesty, His power, His might, His Holiness; who are we that He would allow us to sing His praise? And yet He desires our praise. He rejoices in our worship. He invites us to say with all of Heaven, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty-the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come." Today, worship Him. He is Holy. He is worthy of all our praise.
Just in case the link doesn't work. (LOL)

Trust In The Wisdom Of God
Dr. Zachary Tims, Jr.
In Genesis 37:18, the brothers of Joseph conspired to kill him and cast him into a pit. In an attempt to hide their evil scheme to get rid of Joseph, they sold him for 20 pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites who pulled him out of the pit and carried him off into Egypt.
How many times have you found yourself in a deep pit of despair, feeling alone and facing problems too hard for you to resolve? A pit is a form of recession. You have more bills than income, or more bad news than good. The enemy uses the pit in your life to hold back your blessings, and he tries to kill your spirit, steal your joy, and destroy your Christian testimony.
While Joseph's brothers were plotting to wipe him out, at that same time, by verse 25, God dispatched a team of deliverers, the Ishmaelites to come to his rescue. This is a great illustration of God's sovereign wisdom and power over your life. He is a Keeper of your soul. He knows just what your pit looks like; the foreclosure, the doctor's bad report, the loss of a loved one, a lengthy unemployment.
On the flip side, He also knows your purpose and destiny and the plans He has made for your life. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
At the same time you are applying for unemployment assistance, a future boss is reviewing your resume.
At the same time the bank pulls your credit report for a loan, a computer erases the bad information.
At the same time you see yourself skidding into on-coming traffic, God has prepared a guard rail in the road to protect you.
All through the bible God shows His sovereignty and wisdom to watch over us in the hard times. He is a Provider who sees far beyond our scope of vision as He prepares a way out of adversity for His children. The Bible says He will never leave you or forsake you and He will not put on you more than you can bear. In His infinite wisdom, while the devil is sending you a problem, at the same time, God is sending you divine sustaining provisions.
You may have to endure a season of struggle, but your pit is not too deep or too hard for God. Trust in His wisdom to foresee the circumstances of every pit and prepare a way to get out of it. At the same time Joseph's brothers were throwing him into the pit, God sent the Ishmaelites to be the answer to his problem. God is in control, not man.
The bible says in Isaiah 54:17, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and in Psalm 121:12, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth."
Stop looking to the weapon that is formed against you. Look to the hills of heaven for God to make a way for you. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28. It's not a recession for you, God's provisions are on the way.

"We will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders." Psalms 78:4 (NLT)
Christianity was never meant to be kept to ourselves. We have a responsibility to be Christ's ambassador, sharing His good news with the next generation. And there is so much to share. But how many examples of God's "glorious deeds" can we share about? What can we tell others about His power? What of His mighty wonders can we share? The problem is we don't pay attention. We take all that God does for us for granted. We are spoiled acting like we have some sort of entitlement. So we reduce God's message to telling everyone that they are going to Hell and need a Savior. But the truth is people are hurting, dying, incomplete and disillusioned. They would do anything to learn about a God that is real. Sure, we must share the saving message of the gospel, but if we are going to win a generation then they also need to know about all the great things God is doing. Let's begin to pay more attention to God at work around us and start to share with those we know, God's glorious deeds, power and mighty wonders.
PRAYER Father, help me to see all the great things You are doing in my life and begin to share the joy and wonder of knowing You with those around me. AMEN

Along the Way
by Max Lucado
What would it take to restore your hope?
What would you need to reenergize your journey?
Though the answers are abundant, three come quickly to mind.
The first would be a person. Not just any person. You don't need someone equally confused. You need someone who knows the way out.
And from him you need some vision. You need someone to lift your spirits. You need someone to look you in the face and say, "This isn't the end. Don't give up. There is a better place than this. And I'll lead you there."
And, perhaps most important, you need direction. If you have only a person but no renewed vision, all you have is company. If he has a vision but no direction, you have a dreamer for company. But if you have a person with direction--who can take you from this place to the right place--ah, then you have one who can restore your hope.
Or, to use David's words, "He restores my soul." Our Shepherd majors in restoring hope to the soul. Whether you are a lamb lost on a craggy ledge or a city slicker alone in a deep jungle, everything changes when your rescuer appears.
Your loneliness diminishes, because you have fellowship.
Your despair decreases, because you have vision.
Your confusion begins to lift, because you have direction.
Please note: You haven't left the jungle. The trees still eclipse the sky, and the thorns still cut the skin. Animals lurk and rodents scurry. The jungle is still a jungle. It hasn't changed, but you have. You have changed because you have hope. And you have hope because you have met someone who can lead you out.
Your Shepherd knows that you were not made for this place. He knows you are not equipped for this place. So he has come to guide you out.
