I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine Saluted it,
and then he stood at ease..
I looked at him in uniform,
so young, so tall, so proud.
With hair cut square and eyes alert,
he'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil.
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes Shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers' Graves ?
No, freedom isn't free.
I heard the sound of Taps one night,
when everything was still.
I listened to the bugler
play, and felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a Coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the Children,
of the mothers and the wives,
of fathers, sons and husbands,
With interrupted lives.
I Thought about a graveyard
at the bottom of the sea,
Of unmarked graves in Arlington .
…Freedom isn't free .
Enjoy Your Freedom
& Bless Our Troops

"Acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts." I Chronicles 28:9 (NIV)
TODAY'S THOUGHT It is easy to say that we are a Christian. There isn't much of a demand being placed on that confession. As far as most people care, saying that you are a Christian doesn't mean much. It sure doesn't mean a changed life. In many cases a "Christian" doesn't act any different than a secular person. But that is not the way God intended it to be. We have been called to follow Christ in the way we think, feel and behave. David knew the seriousness of following God. When he commissioned his son, Solomon, to build the Temple, he challenged Solomon to live for God. He told him to acknowledge God as the Lord of everything he has and does serving Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind. And God knows when we are serving Him because He searches our heart and motives. Today, dedicate your life for His service. Decide to serve Him wholeheartedly.
TODAY'S PRAYER Father, thank You for the opportunity to serve You. Help me to be true to You and to serve You with wholehearted devotion in everything I do. Not because I have to, but because it is what You have called me to do. In Jesus' Name. AMEN

It's been a pretty busy summer. Grands kids came to visit, will be here until the 30 of july. Dad got sick, I'm his care giver, and with the Ministry life has been very busy (not hectic, busy.)
I maintain my 125 for a few months, then gain 10 pounds back. I'm still feeling pretty good because I know what went wrong. The meds (steriod) for allergies is the winner for now.(LOL)
I want to thank all that send me support and motivation. You keep me on my toes. I have some of the greatest teams members around.
A special thanks to my co-leaders, they're the best.
Have a happy 4th. Be safe. I'll hold the fort down. i'm staying put for a change.(smile)

Serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope.--ROM. xii. 11, 12.
Be patient with every one, but above all with yourself. I mean, do not be
disturbed because of your imperfections, and always rise up bravely from
a fall. I am glad that you make a daily new beginning; there is no better
means of progress in the spiritual life and in the physical life than to be continually beginning afresh, and never to think that we have done enough.
Have an awesome day.
