March isnt looking so Hot soo Far

Monday, March 12, 2012

I am down to about 6 weeks until my friends Bachelorette Party..

I haven't weighed myself in 3 weeks.. My scale is still at mom and dads- Need to get it moved up to the house.- I feel like I have lost some weight but have no clue.

Last week I took off the extra cardio in order to spend more time working on my house. This week I am adding 3 days extra cardio- At least.. I am hoping to get my butt up and walk or something in the morning but if not 30 Min at the gym after work.

I also need to start seriously body rocking.. By this I mean 5 days a week! I have been getting in 3-4 but If I want to see results I need to be more committed..

I did Booty Lovers Friday after work and to be honest I do not remember the workout.. I had planned on doing the thong workout Saturday morning-but by the time the cable guy got there I had already begun cleaning and taping off a room to paint.

I dont feel too guilty about not working out this weekend- because I know I have been active. We spent an 8 hr day working on our house on Saturday and then I spent a couple hours on Sunday but mostly Sunday I was in a zone and had no clue what was going on around me. But Brian installed an entry way in our closet.. Ahh I just remembered I have my camera I will add another blog with pics!

That's good that you aren't feeling guilt over not working out this weekend! You're totally RIGHT. Moving is crazy business!!! It's great to make goals to come rather than beat yourself up for things out of your control! =]=]

Did you take your measurements when you started bodyrocking? because that's definitely a better way to see how your body is changing than the scale! You could have even gained weight from gaining muscle, even though technically your body is getting smaller =] That IS awesome though that you haven't weighed yourself in 3 weeks!! Is that how long you've been bodyrocking for already??? Awesome!!!

Dog or No Dog???

Sooo Do we get a dog or not??

I have totally been against this ever since Brian and I found out we were getting a house, I said it was an issue we could address once we had kids next 2 years or soo. I just said you know that means we have to have more responsibility-and I know I will be the one getting up in the morning and letting him/her out at night..

But now the idea is starting to grow on me- Already 1 week in the house!

I have a friend who works for the ARL in Iowa and she just posted a picture of this 15 month old Boxer name Fabio and I fell in love.. emoticon and I always said no big dog..

However, after 3 nights being alone in my empty house-wouldnt a dog be nice company.. Wouldnt a big dog be a great reason to get out for a run/walk in the morning. Or even morning and evening.. plus that Fabio is just soo darn cute!

Soo yeah- I have a feeling I am going to lose this battle and cave for the dog.. Any suggestions on Breads.. I really would like a boxer, Brian would like something HUGE.. I would prefer one that doesnt shed, but not a fan of the Labradoodles.. I think I could do a weimeriner or a lab.

Ok Ok Workout last night..

I adapted this from Chrissy's Nike Training and a few Suggestions of Hannahs.

30/10 1 time through
Jumps
Jumping Jacks
Lunge Left Kick
Lunge Right Kick
Plank
Pushup
Burpee
Front/Back Hops
Tricep Pushup
Squats
Skaters
Mnt Climbers
Plank
Dive Bombers
Sumo Squats
Plank Drops R
Plank Drops L
Competition Situps
Star abs
Side to side hops
I did one more too but cant remeber- The workout was about 15 min long and pretty good.. I was definately sweating.

Looking forward to Booty Lover and Thong workout this weekend.. I havent watched the Thong video yet, but I have a feeling I am giong to like it as long as LM isnt working out in a thong that would push it too far for me.

TGIF!!!

I have 2 dogs, both are rescues. Chance, he is my got to go now dog! He has lots of energy, loves to walk, not to smart, can't figure out how to go threw a fence! But I love his energy. Brandy, she is a little over the top. Wants attention 24/7! Gets really hyper if you pet Chance and not her! But she is the one who would give her life for mine! No one would ever hurt me or the kids with her around! The hair can be a challenge. But that is just what comes with having a dog.
I would adopt an adult dog. They are the easiest to bring home. Puppies are cute, but a lot of work. I would miss my dogs if they where not with me! Good luck on finding the right dog!

I think you should adopt a dog! If I were you, I would adopt an adult dog. Since you know you want children, I would adopt a dog that is good with children. Time is a really big factor in choosing a puppy vs an adult dog. Do you have time to train a puppy? It is similar to having a baby, there needs to be someone home with the puppy ever 2-4 hours. I personally have adopted both puppies and adult dogs, it really depends on time. I think opening your heart and your home to an animal is a wonderful thing!

You should DEFINITELY adopt a dog! I used to do a lot of volunteering and training with the Humane Society here and, while I totally agree that there are some pups that aren't kid friends (whether it be out of jealousy or whatever), adopting at a young enough age (that Boxer pup is still young!) can help you socialize and train him to become used to the idea of kids. We have a German Shepard/Sheltie who had never been around kids. He was about four at the time, but even so, I managed to teach him to not be scared. He played a lot with the kids I nannied and I even brought him to their school once, where he sat nicely and let them pet him. He also was very concerned when I introduced him to my Autistic cousin, but did very well with her after some supervision.

Just remember that you're the boss; not him. Dogs are used to packs and you need to show him you're the pack leader. You can probably find some inexpensive classes at your local shelter!

As for expense, I agree; the average cost is about 1500/year to take care of a dog (although, if you're adopting, he'll probably already come with his shots for that year and be neautered.) but the experience is so worth it. In all honesty, I can say that Baxter is my best friend. He's happy when I'm happy, he protects me when I'm scared and he kisses me when I'm sad. All pups wanna do is make you smile.

As for Labs, they do shed quite a bit (and it's the annoying stuff you can't pick off) so you're best going with a dog who has naturally coarse fur as opposed to soft. Most big dogs do shed unless they're a hybrid, but make sure to do your research. Every dog has good and bad traits. I'm not sure about Boxers, but certain dogs have a natural temperment unless trained well. And they CAN be trained well. =)

Good luck! (Sorry this was so long. I just love that you're adopting.)

LOL omg that really would be over the top if lisa did that workout in a thong! there's definitely a line, and that would just BLAST through it! lol!

As far as a dog, a part of me says DO IT! While the other part of me wants to advise you to wait till AFTER you guys have kids.
here are my reasons why TO get one.
1. They're freaking ADORABLE. (I highly suggest a boxer! they're great dogs!!!!!)
2. like you said, a great excuse to get walking/running more often
3. great practice for the responsibility you'll take on once you guys are parents! lol

Here are my reasons why you might want to wait.
1. what if the dog turns out not to be KID friendly? (we had a dog when we had our son, and had to end up giving her away because she was NOT behaving nicely to our son.. scary!)
2. dogs are friggin expensive! You just got a new car, a new house...
3. speaking of the new house, do you have hardwood floors? clumsy puppy + hardwood floors... poor floors! hahaha...

I was trying to think of more, but that's all I've got! LOL! an even 3 on each side.. hmm.. that's not very helpful, huh? =p=p=p

Ohhh Thursday Random Facts about me!

Thursday, March 08, 2012

I have 2 brothers- Tye 23 and Sam 15... Sam and I are super close since there is 10 yrs age difference

My mom is my best friend but we are totally different so we butt heads a lot

My dad is wrapped around my finger.. shhh dont tell him

Brian is the love of my life- We are polor opposites but they do say opposites attract.. He is one of the only people on this world that knows me better than i know myself... Which means he knows how to piss me off with a snap of his fingers but also knows how to calm me down. we are getting married 7/5/13 and have been dating since 6/26/05. We were friends in High School but never dated..

I am obsessed with pinterest/crafts and my kindle.. I got it for christmas and I cant believe how many books I have read already.

I love love my job as a health insurance underwriter and financial analyst. My boss is great and we make a great team..

I played Volleyball in High school and have always been fit, but small... Never worried about my weight much but always hated my little belly.. Looking back at that high school 112 lb body- I WILL TAKE IT BACK NOW!!! I gained weight when my neighbor died in 2008- also the year of my first job. My neighbor was my brother Tyes best friend and my 3rd brother.. He would do anything for me and I would have traded Tye for him. He died in a plane crash- he was a pilot and him and a firend flew up to Cassville, WI to pick up another buddy and the plane door flew open taking them down in a field. HIm and the pilot made it out of the plane, but Grant had soo much smoke in his lungs and was soo badly burned he was taken off life support after 5 days- His mom and dad found a school paper on his opinion of life support a month later. He said if he was in the situation he would like to be let go onto heaven..

Anyway Gained about 15lbs since Grant and have been trying to lose it since.. but now I do not want to lose weight I want to be fit again- stronger and leaner not Skinny!

Hopefully with Body Rock I will continue to feel amazing and start seeing results- Probably need to be doing it a little more consistently!

Tracking Food- Not letting March Fall Apart

Tuesday, March 06, 2012

Monday, March 5, 2012

Calories Fat Carbohydrates Protein Sodium, Na
1,639 76 184 53 2,198
1200 - 1550 27 - 60 135 - 252 60 - 136 500 - 2300

So yesterday I was over in pretty much ever category. My fault we went to Wendy's at 8pm last night.

This moving thing is really getting in the way of my working out/eating plans for March. I am really trying not to let them too!

So yesterday after work I had planning on doing a bodyrock and then heading up to my house to clean or something. then going back to mom and dads for dinner.

Well I got home and my parents were at my house working- and my mom wanted to keep cleaning- they spend their whole day off cleaning up the mess of my house! So I got changed and started cleaning baseboards and my Grandma cleaned my fridge. Before you know it, we had the kitchen spotless and the baseboards cleaned in the hallway and living room. and it was 8 o'clock.. Brian and I have no groceries and no tv or internet.. We went down to mom and dads so I could get clothes for work today and they ordered a Pizza- Brian gets sick of pizza so we went out to get a movie and Brian did a u-turn to get Wendy's.. soo not a good idea.. So tonight I am heading to walmart after work to pick up just a few groceries- stuff we can make easily after we are working.

Any Suggestions would be awesome- keep in mind I have no dishes or appliances unpacked..

So tonight I am picking up a broasted chicken and some veggies- and some breakfast and lunch food for the rest of the week.

I am also going to do the Booty workout from BR yesterday and I am going to start getting up in the mornings and getting in a 10-15 Min workout.. I hate working out in the morning but my house has all this natural sunlight and it makes you want to get up and appreciate the day before getting ready so tomorrow we are trying the morning workout!
