What I will do today...

Sunday, December 08, 2013

Today is a new day. I have started drinking my water, eaten pretty darn healthy, and I have a pretty good attitude, even though, I have a head cold. We are getting ice cold rain so no walking outside but I think I will get these buns-a-movin' and get my house clean. I can burn calories cleaning my house...I have 5 children for pete's sake, there is always something to do! Right?
Then, I will make my son's blanket (procrastination is another one of my downfalls!), make some hairbows, prepare my 5 year olds homeschool lessons for the week, paint my nails, and get ready for tomorrow!

Here's my motivational quote for the day:

Sounds like plenty to keep you busy! Hope you get some exercise while you work. I always feel more exhausted after housework than I do cardo or strength training.

Bless you for having so many little ones! Glad you are doing well! Thanks for the comment on my blog discussing the surprise for my DD. She had a blast and had no idea about what was going to happen. We had seat up close so it was very exciting. Good luck with your journey, raising all those sweeties and have a very Special Christmas! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm drinking my water today too. We've got well water that I hate, even filtered twice. Its hard for me to let myself buy water, but I have so I will drink more. As for the blanket, I totally relate. I have to make one for my son as well. His old one really wore out and so he took the one his brother had and didn't use. Now that one is also getting worn out. So I decided to make another one, and I too need to get to it. Thanks for the reminder.

I think answering all those questions would keep me awake, but if it helps create a better sleep for you its well worth doing!

December goals and other ramblings :)

Monday, December 02, 2013

I made a deal with my precious daughter, Chloe, that I would cut my soda and sweets if she did. She is 8 years old and is a beautiful dancer. This past year, when we moved, she decided to take a year off from dance and put on some weight. My biggest fear is that she will get fat, like I did, and get picked on and bullied. Her biggest downfall, just like mine, is SWEETS!!!!
So, last week, I made a deal with her, if she cut out her sweets, then I will cut out my sugar and soda and we are starting tomorrow. I went out this weekend and bought myself one of those bubba jugs that holds all of the water I need for the day.
My daughter is my inspiration. I want to get healthy so that I can be THAT mom that gets out there with her kids and runs and plays, and coaches, and attempts to go to every one of their functions as possible (with 5 kids, I will be going to A LOT of functions!).

My goals for December: Cut the sugar, drink water (I HATE water), and manage my time better. Im not setting a weight goal this month, just a goal to drink water and eat better.

My Inspiration: My Beautiful 8 year old, Chloe Elizabeth

Tubal Ligation...ughhhhhh

Friday, November 22, 2013

I had my tubal ligation yesterday. I had to be there at 6am and my surgery started at 8am. I was home by 4:30. It was done laparascopically through my belly button so I am extremely sore. I was intubated and the anesthetist nicked my uvula with the tube. I woke up at about 2:30am in so much pain that I couldn't breathe. My ribs are bruised from being moved from the OR table back to my bed but other than that I am more babies here!

I had one and I was terribly sore and had awful bruises on my stomach for awhile. Make sure that you take enough time to really heal!
Peace and blessings!

Amery Christian Ray born 08/26/13

Monday, October 28, 2013

My newest edition, Amery Christian Ray, was born August 26th, 2013 at 1:00am. He weighed 7lbs, 8.8 oz and was 20.4 inches long. My labor was fast...I woke up at 12:30 in labor so Shawn called 911, my grandma and my sister. The rescue squad got to my house at 12:39 and had me in our local E.R. which doesn't have an ob unit. I was supposed to deliver 45 minutes away. The rescue squad got me to the E.R. at 12:50. I had just enough time to get my pj's off and get on the table before I had to push. The nurses and Dr. were clueless because they don't deal with baby delivery. My water didn't break until Amery's head popped out. I delivered him unmedicated before the Dr. could get his gloves on good and get over to me. I had to wait until the other ambulance service got there and Amery and I were transported to the other hospital. Amery got to ride in his carseat wrapped in nothing but a towel on his butt and a blanket ;-)

That is so sweet. Wow, so brave of you to go through that and your first doctor was not prepared for this kind of situation. Your son is so beautiful! Love the name, Amery.

God bless you both!
Have a good weekend!
