Since starting to food journal, I also took on a second calendar to journal with, and I have discovered a consistent pattern: during the week and a half before the luteal phase and a little past the date of ovulation, I wind up with one day that turns into a total "screw this, I'm eating EVERYTHIG" sort of binge day.
The worst offenders when that happens are sugary, fatty foods and salt--and if I haven't been careful about taking my iron, red meat.
I thought about not entering the total food today, but then I remembered that if I don't hold myself accountable I'm going to be somewhere north of 200 lbs--which is no good for my frame.
The good news is now I know when to keep a special eye out.
