O.K., I just finished 6 weeks on my BLC. I have lost 2.9 lbs - in 6 weeks. That's not great. I have 17 lbs. to reach my goal. I wanted 15 of those to be gone by the end of this challenge and we're half way over. Now, I know I can't change what happened the past 6 weeks. I am very happy that I haven't lost, gained and then have to loose the same 2-3 lbs. over again (which has been my trend). S
I know my problem (or challenge). I like to eat!! I eat a lot of healthy foods - grilled chicken, lots of fruits & veggies, whole wheat, but I also like a big portion. I also like the snacks!
Last night I had a good dinner - grilled lean hamburger patty, whole wheat bun (big ole tomato slice on my burger & nothing else), and a big salad and some watermelon for dessert. Around 8:00 p.m. I really wanted to snack, but I knew today was weigh in, so I didn't have a snack. I stayed the same, which was pretty good since I over-indulged over the weekend (TOM). So, after this ranting, I know what I have to do - buckle down and get it done.

O.K., I justs completed 3 weeks on BLC. Not a very stellar performance thus far. I have lost 2.4 lbs. in 3 weeks. Normally I would be satisified, but I really wanted to pull some big ###'s. for my team! However, I seem to "loose it" during the weekends. The only thing that saves me is I stay pretty busy and active, so I'm probably burning all those extra calories! Also, (and I know this is an excuse), my favorite exercise is walking and if I can't do a mid-morning walk @ work, it's really hot. Last night I walked at 8:15 and it was still 90 degrees. The only time I can walk at work is when my boss is out of the office. I'm usually chained to my desk when he's there. Don't feel too sorry for me, I have great hours (8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m) and would have plenty of time to walk after work, but it's so darn hot! Anyway, I'm still managing to get in at least 20 minutes a day, so I just have to watch the calories!

I just completed 2 weeks of my BLC. I lost 2 lbs. I was hoping for 4 lbs. the first 2 weeks and then a 1 lb. a week loss. I am, however, happy with the scale going in the right direction. I just went away for a long weekend and got back today. My eating was all messed up, but I kept the calories around 1,500 (not the best choices though), drank plenty of water (never any problem there) and got in a lot of exercise. The best thing is that even though I got off track, I want to do well for my team so I'm right back on track - GO LIGHT BLUE!

I had a pretty good week and lost 1.4 lbs. I was hoping for 2, but I'll take it. I enjoy the competition, so this kind of format should work for me. After the birth of my 3rd child (who is now 7). I haven't been able to loose all of my weight. 4 years ago I lost 45 lbs. and was about 15 lbs. from my goal. I managed to gain back about 15 lbs. of the 45 lbs. At the beginning of this year, I was determined to get to my goal. I did great and lost 12 lbs. in 4 months. Then I started the loose 3 lbs., gain them back and then loose them again. So, if I didn't do any of the "gaining back" I would be at my goal! There's no sense "crying over spilt milk". I can't go back and change it. The important thing is to keep going, realize I've got some pretty healthy habits that I can pass on to my girls. I'll get to that goal (which by the way is within my healthy BMI and a weight I think I can maintain) and I'll just have to learn to enjoy the ride!

I am starting the 12 week Biggest Loser Challenge today! I am very excited and feel this might be the motivation to get me to my goal. I set my BLC goal for 15 lbs. in 12 weeks. I wanted to reach my goal goal by the end of this challenge, but that would be almost 20 lbs., so I think I'll stick to 15. That's more realistic and achievable. GAME ON!!!!
