Law of Pure Potentiality

Sunday, November 04, 2012

"Law of Pure Potentiality: The source of all creation is pure consciousness. Pure potentiality seeking expression from the unmanifest to the manifest. And when we realize that our true Self is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power that manifests everything in nature.

I will put the Law of Pure Potentiality into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:

I will get in touch with the field of pure potentiality by taking time each day to be silent, to just Be. I will also sit alone in silent meditation at least twice a day for approximately thirty minutes in the morning and thirty minutes in the evening.
I will take time each day to commune with nature and to silently witness the intelligence within every living thing. I will sit silently and watch a sunset, or listen to the sound of the ocean or a stream, or simply smell the scent of a flower. In the ecstasy of my own silence, and by communing with nature, I will enjoy the life throb of ages, the field of pure potentiality and unbounded creativity.
I will practice non-judgment. I will begin my day with the statement, "Today, I shall judge nothing that occurs", and throughout the day I will remind myself not to judge."

Okay I will do that. I'm struggling seeing how to fit the half an hour of meditation in twice a day but I know its important.

Interesting, and enlightening... I hope you will post updates from time to time to let us know how it's going, and what you find after you've practiced your plan for a while.

About Somnambulating

Friday, October 19, 2012

I am no longer a sleepwalker and therefore would no longer like to be known as somnambulist. Shall I delete this account and start over? This is a question I have been pondering. I also do not yet know my new username. Anyway just wanted to let you guys know that somnambulist may be exiting, as there is a reinvention in process. Once I realize my new name I will come back and befriend you again.

On your start page you just go into account preferences to change your name, if that's what you choose to do.
Good luck with the new stage of your journey!!

Yes, change your name rather than starting over. That way your SparkFriends can still find you.

I think you can just change your username if you don't want to have to start completely over. Unless of course you are looking for a fresh start!

Yay 5k

Saturday, October 06, 2012

Today I participated in my very first 5k. It was a fun walk benefiting the humane animal treatment society. I was joined by my sweet basset hound willy who had a great time all around. I walked at a steady pace but I am not sure if I actually did 5k or not. They said the trail would be clearly marked but I just followed the other people. It didn't seem very far. It started raining though so glad I finished when I did. Here is willy and his new bandana:

Sounds great! 5K isn't really very far, it's less than 2 miles.

Anticipating October

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

I just want to share with you some of my excitement for October. I am going to be trying some new things! I am going to begin October with a class on Vinyasa style yoga. I was inspired to do this when I discovered I could receive a free week of classes. To get a coupon and find a class near you please visit: yogahealthfoundation.org/one_week_fr
ee_yoga

I also would like to investigate Ayurveda and learn some ways to alter my diet to improve my health. I took this quiz: altmedicine.about.com/library/quiz/b
l_quiz_ayurveda.htm
and my results were Kapha type. I will look into it further soon and see if this might be correct.

Currently I am learning more about a shift in consciousness. If you are interested in this please visit birth2012.com/

Also my favorite online community is here: itakethevow.ning.com/
It is all about thinking, speaking, and acting the change you wish to see. This idea makes me think of Ghandi: www.positivityblog.com/index.php/200

Also my b 35th birthday is in October! What are you looking forward to in October?

So glad to hear you are going to try the yoga classes!! I teach vinyasa style, & while I love to do all kinds of exercise, yoga has grown to be my favorite because of the self-awareness it builds. Enjoy the journey!!!

Hello and wow for great goals and some great info. Thanks for that. I'm looking to really enjoy October here. I've decided Fall is my favorite time of year and October is really the start of that for me. Getting really pumped as I've started hitting the weight training, starting to speed up my short runs and getting the diet on track again this week. Loving it!

Hey fellow Kapha! haha! I have been learning and utilizing Ayurveda and yoga to lose weight as well. We Kaphas need lots of aerobic activity to "pear" off those pounds. lol.

Sounds like you have an awesome outlook for the month! You go! emoticon
