Just read a very good article from Sparkpeople. I was feeling discouraged because I knew I hadn't done my best this past week. This article reminded me it's not about being perfect, but about small changed over time.
When I did have sweets it was less than half of what I used to have. It doesn't sound like much, but it is a change for the better.
I did loose weight this week and that is progress:) Thank you Lord for this encouragement when I really needed it.

    I think eating only half of what you used to eat in the sweet department is a huge step in the forward direction. Over time you will notice that you will be doing this automatically ..... I personally plan for a sweet (1 OZ. dark chocolate) twice a week.

I had knee surgery Jan. 17, 2012. Started theropy the next week and went back to work two weeks after surgery. I felt pretty good until just before Valentine's day. My knee has been hurting since then. I talked to my theropist and he seems to think since I went back to work in a short time after surgery that it is just taking longer to recover. I'm still anxious to be exercising more. I am trying but I'm taking it slow so I don't go backwards with my recovery. I have theropy twice a week and I'm trying to do about 10 minutes of exercise daily if I can. I know it's not much, but I feel good for trying. Tonight(2/22/12) I walk for 10 minutes on the tredmill at a slow speed and an incline of 2.

I'm starting very slowly. I had surgery on my knee last month. I've been going to theropy twice a week for the past 3 weeks. I just started to do some exercise tonight. Being very careful with my knee, modifing some of the exercises. Even though it isn't much, it feels good to be trying. emoticon
