Bike to Work and Bike Home at Lunch

Friday, January 29, 2010

I was determined to get my 2 - 2.5 hr bike ride in this week so I rode to work and I rode home at lunch to avoid the rain and darkness. They were great rides. I turned the wrong way on the way to work so I took a different route. I would have been to work faster than my normal San Andreas route but I turned too early on Airport and went an extra 4 miles or so. Still a great ride and I got to be in my aero's a lot which was the goal. Took a quick shower when I got to work and got dressed than a couple hours later I got into my bike clothes again - ewwwh! and headed back home. There were some nice tail winds to push me along and it was sunny and felt great. Glad I did it! Oh and I took another shower, jammed my face with some leftovers and went back to work.

Missed my bike/run for a good cause

Sunday, January 24, 2010

Its tough when you have several things that are top priority and they all compete for your time, energy and emotional support. I really try hard to maintain my training schedule especially when I have a workout calendar, but life gets in the way sometimes. I have to have balance and so I chose to skip my big workout today to be with my granddaughters that need me more than you know right now. My husband is so supportive and loves the grandkids too, but he really needed a break so he went fishing and I stayed home with the kids. I will be back on track tomorrow - maybe make up a workout or two next week when the babies are with their mother. I have continued to log my food and fitness and I drank all my water today - pretty good.

There's Stress and Than There is Super Stress

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

I am an emotional eater however I can't figure out, not that I am complaining or anything, why when I am super stressed that my appetite goes away. It is probably something chemical I hypothesize. My super stress for this week is back to just stress so I have to stay focused and strong and stick to my goals. Log all my food no matter what. Log my fitness and stick to my workout calendar. Weigh myself daily to stay in check - while keeping a good perspective - my weight will fluctuate on a daily basis. Today was a perfect food day and exercise and water day!! I get an A+.

My eating patterns do the same thing, I want to eat for comfort, for stress relief and for energy but when I'm totally stressed out all of a sudden I don't want to eat anything. Good job noticing this and sticking to your goals.

My Mother Told Me There Would be Days Like These

Saturday, January 02, 2010

Suffice it to say I have seen better days. Don't want to get into the gory details but you never know who your child will marry. Crazy people included. I am depressed but did log my food and got in a good bike ride today. I am in control of what I put in my mouth and how much or little I exercise. The later keeps me sane.
