I was at the gym last night - getting some weight training in - and was circling, and being circled, by a group - 4 men and a woman - who seemed to be helping/training each other on the machines near me.
Now, I ensure to clean my face and take off my makeup before I go to the gym. I am here to get something done, not to be cute (not that I can help it lol). I feel this is the best for my skin and will keep me from looking like something that was caught in the rain when I am done.
This woman, though, had the thickest, longest false eyelashes on - with hair done up and cute very fitted clothes on - while working out.
Here eyes were smaller, might have been really pretty, but I could not see her eye through the wings that were attached to her face. It looked really weird.
So the poll - Ladies - do you take your make up off before you get your workout on?

I am back in it!
Last Tuesday I was able to mostly run the group run trail with my group at work - I did it twice - for about 4 miles. (Woo!)
Then Thursday I ran my training - on an incline program (that's new)
And this weekend Hubby and I biked to lunch - about 4.5 miles
Tonight I am planning to run with my office group - see what kind of movement I can get going. I am also planning for an early Thrusday run as we will be visiting my MIL and won't have access to the gym.
That should space it out about right and keep me moving!

So hip is not as bad now - a bit sore, more like a torn muscle I guess.
Ankle is better, perhaps a bit weak, but working without pain.
New pain - both upper thighs - front only - are sore and hurt to use. This is causing problems as I try to walk quickly or run - as my legs complain LOUDLY when I try. I have stretched and found that the most effective stretch is the runner lunge and pigeon pose - both are very challenging and seem to hit the exact spot. I will ease into these to hopefully be back to jogging soon.

I seem to have hurt myself.
Since Monday after the run, my ankle, which I turned during the run, and my opposite hip have been hurting. I have put a heating pad on the ankle, and it helps while its on, but is bad again once it's cooled off.
My hip - I'm not sure what to do here. Tylenol? I guess.....
I am still functioning, but have not run yet this week, trying not to over do it.
I really don't want a backslide at this point - I have been focused on eating better, no cheats, as I want to drop a few more before my vacation (12/16 -) with hubby. He has already mentioned some new clothes - Oooooo.....
I guess I just need to care for myself and focus on the eating and what excercises I can do in the meantime....

So I finished. I was a lot slower then I thought, but not the last of my wave.
There was also a lot more weaving and twisting then I thought, as I ran past the 'zombies' on my way through. Note to self - when someone chases you, you sprint. Work some sprints into training if you ever do this race again. Also note that you twist a lot, and ahave turned your ankle a number of times, so train on trails and some parcour needs to be added as well.
I had an asthma attack in the middle, which made running a bit harder - and so I walked a bit.
There was also a 2 foot "puddle" on the course, which was NOT advised of anywhere. Those that arranged this are going to hear about that. If I was told, I would have prepared, as we were not, that ended a full stop for most people, as girls were carried on their boyfriends backs, or, like me, we took off our shoes and waded across, then redressed. At this point I was PISSED. I wore my running shoes, my older shoes, but running shoes. Brooks running shoes - shoes that are about $100 a pop due to sizing and arch support. And you want me to swim in them - uh .... No.
At any rate - most was fun, I was not truely prepared and was running a good deal faster through most of it, zombies and all.
