My mother in law has been having some problems with reality, so between takin care of her an the drama of a new grandbaby I quit spark. On Nov 1st I lost my older brother to a massive heart attack. Doug was only 52, just 2 years older than me. Not only did this break my heart, it scared the hell out of me. He had had stomach staple about 20 years ago an lost alot of weight. In the last 10 it had come back. He an I were the most alike in looks an nature, an I miss him more than I can discribe. I dont wanna put MY family thru the same thing, the only thing that ever worked for me was Spark. So I'm back. I have to take this weight off an keep it off. I love the mom in law, but I am gonna have to put me first for a while. When I am dealing with her an all her drama I stay stressed out. When I am stressed I eat. Plus stress makes it hard to lose weight by its self. I have a treadmill an a mountain bike (which when I ride on the grass is a great cardio workout) an I have been using them both lately. Watchin calories too. Sorry to all my support friends that I just disappeared off the map. If ya'll can forgive me I would appreciate hearin from you. Later, Wanda

Oh lord help me quit laughin long enough to blog this!! Gippy, my year old chihuahua is my walkin partner. Well since hubby has to mow both yards (ours an mominlaws) the crabgrass from her yard ended up in ours. My poor baby couldnt go more than a foot from the steps without steppin on some. So today at Wallyworld I bought her puppy sandels to protect her feet. They are two tone pink an very tiny. Bless her heart, she was so patient while I put em on, an they were sooooo cute, RIGHT, she found out she couldnt get em off. So I gave her a dog treat so she would think they were a good thing. I wish I could put pictures on here!!!! She's walkin like a geecko, 2 feet out, 2 feet down! No crabgrass, but I cant stop laughin. My husband said I was "CRUEL". I think Gippy agrees! She said if I put pics on here she will never speak to me again!!!!! (this means I* have to wait til later when she's not lookin, cause you know I gotta!!!! later.....

Actually in the winter she doesnt mind her shirts, an since I knit an crochet she has a sweater for everyday of the week, she wears those with no fuss. During the summer I dont put any clothes on her, dont wanna make her hot. She went for a short walk this a.m. with the shoes, she wasnt happy, but when we came in an I took em off they had crabgrass stickers all in the bottom! Those wouldve been in her feet, so for now its shoes for the girl. Report Inappropriate Comment

My fatherinlaw was diagnosed with brain cancer (small cell) very aggressive. I had been taking care of him, he passed the end of January, then my mominlaw kinda went manic depressive an I spent all my time tryin to keep her stable (not hurting herself or someone else. Then I had to go to Fla cause they thought my mom had beginning stage dementia (turned out to be some of the meds they had her on she was reacting bad to) then just when I thought I might be able to pay attention to me again my daughter had to have surgery. It was only suppose to be for her gallbladder, but when they got in they discovered her appendix was grown into her colon! So finally things are semi normal, an I decided come hell or high water my 256 lb butt needed to be back on here. I know I should've kept my freinds updated, an I apologize. Thanks for not giving up on me, ya'll are sooooooo special!!! Till tommarrow, Wanda

Crap! They are calling for cold weather an snow here. Dont get me wrong, being raised in Fla I think the snow is pretty. But I have this thing with my hands (reynauds syndrome) where if they get the slightest bit cold they turn snow white an have no feeling in them. Then when the circulation returns it hurts like hell. So no playing in the snow. Plus this past week I have been knitting the dog sweaters to keep my hands busy so I wont mindlessly snack. Gippy now has a sweater for everyday of the week, lol. I know it is just boredom, but when its cold an I am stuck inside I swear I can hear the food calling to me from the cupboards and the fridge! Goin shopping in the morning. Gonna buy fruit an popcorn for snacks. See if I can find a new workout DVD. Wish me luck.....

i didnt know you have reynauds. so do i... it sucks. especially living in upstate ny. i have no advice other than tea to open your capillaries if you dont take medicine.. i get like.... hypothermic. just sit and cant move when its really bad. on those occasions, i find i eat too. if i can get up. :o) you're in my thoughts.
