OK Today I fixed a wonderful dinner of split pea soup with sausage and it turned out great.Of course Hubby and I ate two more than full portions and now my stomach hurts.I only made half a batch and it only filled two soup bowls. We are in the process of becomeing city folk and have rented out our wonderful property in the country.Hubby needs to be closer to a major hospital and we found a rental only three blocks away.Nice small city house with neighbors right next door and of course barking dogs on both sides. We are bringing our two kittys with us sure hope they adjust OK.They will be fenced in on all sides but I still worry about them.I am actually afraid to weigh myself as I think I have gained a lot of my weight back so may just not weigh myself for one month and see what I weigh next month.Suspect this may be a bad idea as the scale does give me notice of where I am weight wise but am just afraid to find out what I suspect is bad news.Well such is life and on we go,bla, bla, bla!!Moving is such a horrible experience especially after living here for almost eighteen years. We are wall to wall in our stuff and of course will have a major estate sale when we relocate. Black Friday

Day after Thanksgiving(obviously)here I sit writing this journal.Very quiet day so far.Husband went to get the mail(fifteen min.from here) and pick up some milk.We live so far out in the country we have to plan our trips to town. Will go up to Newport in Oregon next week for a couple of days.I cooked a lot yesterday and have lots of left overs today.I only cook the turkey breast because there are only two of us but made a lot of side dishes.Dinner was very good but we ate to early, around 3:15 and decided that was to early as we got sleepy waaay before bedtime. He goes to bed around 6-7:00 because of his health issues.I stay up until at least 9:00 often a little later.I went out to my studio per usual last night and organized some of my jewelry supplies, will do more tonight.I used to go out to the studio every moring and night but the last year not quite so often.I have my own health issues.Hope everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving and had plenty to eat.Realize that isn't always the case but there are places for the less fortunate to go during the holidays.I donate what I can to help them out. Today is threatening rain but shouldn't be so cold.

That sounds like a fabulous, calm T-day. I hope the rest of your holidays were as calm, and hopefully joyful, too.

Day two of coming back. Anyway, still love this site but am not doing it justice as I don't follow any of the programs.I enjoy reading the blogs and getting my points and reading the recipes.Liked the article about Curves. My girlfriend LOVES this program and goes a couple of times a week. She doesn't look any thinner to me but she is my best friend and am always happy when she is doing her thing.I may try Curves more seriously this time or when I decide to go.It is a long drive from our house to Curves so I really have to get motivated to go there constantly or even twice a week but any exercise is better than none,I think.Weather up here is getting nasty and expect a terrible freeze tonight.Hubby keeps the wood stove going all day now.We both are trying to eat less but hubby says he is constanly hungry so I told him to be brave and the eating pangs will go away on their own, hope I am right. emoticon

Hello, I am back ,sort of!!

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Not sure what a blog is but will try treating it like a journel.I have been out of touch with this site for a long time.Got spammed and had to create a new e mail address but found my "sites"on the internet were still the same ,I am glad because I had forgotten how many sites I belonged to.Anyway, found this site and decided to write in my journel. I have lost some weight BUT not by exercising just eating less.We travel a lot and I really don't like to exercise but have still managed to lose several pounds.Husband has severe COPD and he doesn't exercise very much ,in the winter not at all but he has lost about thirty pounds just by slowly dieting and eating less high fat foods and sugar things(he is also a mild diabetic)He did get quite ill several months ago and I think he lost several pounds that way.He has only put back on a couple of lbs and is trying to get that off by eating less.So far so good,I realize that exercise would really help but neither of us are motivated.Anyway,we struggle on and are doing a little bit better.
