Feeling great!

I am feeling great theses days.. working out eating good.. have good habits in place.. so its working. I also realize i will never be perfect or have the perfect body but i am ok with that.. after all i am 58! At least i finally got in shape and can do all i love to do and have a lot of engery! It took me a long time to get where i am but was so well worth it. Now i try to help daughter and others and hopefully they too can do it! my daughter is doing so well.. shes eating better and exercising.. and got a good positive attitude. But hard for her sometimes with 3 kids and trying to do all with work and home. But i have a a lot of faith in her and know she will get to her goal. The good thing she doesnt have a lot to lose.. not like i did. And next year she will finally have the wedding of her dreams. I am so happy for her and so excited .!!!
So make each day count and dont sweat the little things that get you down.. you can ALL do this! Hugss Geri.. Love you daughter!!!

Hot days!!! hard to exercise....

I find it hard to exercise on such hot days we are having here in calif.. but if i get out early enough before i do anything else i get it done and feel great!.. And then i am at daughters 3 days a week she has a pool and so that makes it so much easier cause i so love to swim and keeps me cool as well..
Exercise never was my fav.. but now i so love it and think of all kinds of things to have fun and exercise too.. like bike riding.. i love that and hadnt done it since i was a teenager and now i am riding like mad..!.. Also want to play baseball.. and play basket ball.. i think it would be fun to do with grandkids and my daughter and husband.,. and i am sure my son in law would join in too..! so make the most of your time and find fun ways to exercise~it does help so much with a lot.. moods and stress and emotional eating!!

I have given advice to my daughter and to gf.. and many on here but it really comes down what works for you! my daughter is going on a vegatarian type life style( wont say diet) and if that works for her and she loses and is able to stay on that besides working out and all then thats great! We all find out what really is what works for us.. for me i go on treadmill almost every day and bike ride when i can.. also plan ahead on exercise and food and try eating little meals thru out the day biggest before dinner. Now thats what works for me.. I have lost 100 pounds or so and i plan on keeping it off for a long time to come.. ! Dont want to be lazy and think i still dont have to work hard to keep in shape.
So if your just starting out or been doing things and its not working.. try thinking what will work for you.. doing exercise in am?? or in evening.. should all be in a habit.. make good habits and they will last a long time!!
we all can do this if we help each other..thnaks for all who have supported me and helped me along the way..!

    It always comes down to one person-you! You are so correct when you say what works for you. We are all different and respond in different ways. That makes us all special and makes each battle our own. I have only myself to blame if I fail and I need to be accountable to me.

    I totally's what works for each of us individually...I eat a lot of vegetarian meals, never was a big meat eater so I don't miss it. But that might not be for someone else. It takes experimenting, trying new things to figure out what will work for each of us!! The one thing that we all need and count on tho, is the support of our Spark friends...isn't this site just the best?!

Still maintaining weight..

Been doing good .. still at same weight not gaining or losing anymore.. ! which is always good.. I like what weight i am at now.. it is comfortable for me.. just wished my stomach and waist was better so doing more exercises to get it more toned.. i hate that i cant wear some things because shows some rolls.. i guess i should be so happy to how i am thou.. Now one thing i wished they would do.. i find if i fit good in the waist on jeans then i see more rolls.. now if it was a little loser and they had something like what my grandson has on his pants.. that can be adjusted so fits right.. then i would be so much happier.. i don't want to get too lose in the waist and then wont fit other places.. boy i think its always be hard for me to get pants that fit me good. Other wise i am happy.. happy i am keeping up on exercising almost every day.. and eating right and less and more healthy.. sometimes i do have some ice cream but not a lot.. and i don't feel quality either! It all has to be in balance..
How are you all doing?? if anyone needs any help i am here for you evern thou i am only online 3 days a week.. i will do my best to keep in touch..

    Women, if you lost any more weight you would disappear, lol.
I am glad to hear you are maintaining.
So many people struggle with that. It seems to Be as major a thing as losing in the first place.
I know what you are saying about the pants. The next time you are in a store, try on some pants that you normally wouldn't, a dif style or brand name, see if that helps.

I think of all the little things that i have noticed since i have lost weight, how i can sit in a booth and dont have to worry its too small, can find more clothes in L or XL and they are cheaper! I also love the fact i can now where short night gowns cause most of my legs dont look too bad and now feel comfortable in them! Crossing my legs .. wow.. that party i so love always wanted to be a lady who can cross her legs..;) I just feel so good about myself and looking on my pics on my page i can so see how far i have come! Its been a long journey maybe not all done .. just trying to firm up certain spots but happy with the person i am now and proud i have made it !! ,i also feel like if i can lose weight after being heavy most of my life i can do anything !

    You have come a long way, worked hard and now you can enjoy a more healthy and fit body!
It is nice to cross your legs like a lady and wear shorter dresses! Why cover up when you
can let everyone see what exercise and eating right can do?

    Isn't it grand that you can do all these things now. I am so happy for you. Keep up the good work. Pilates, for me, really firms in a short time especially with strength bands or some type of equipment like that.
