I got my husband to walk with me!!

Was a awesome weekend! First for having my daughter and family over for dinner on sat night , and second for my husband (my Big supporter) went walking not just sat but sunday too!!! Sat we walked around where we live and i walk faster so i am ahead of him, but went well and walked for a hour. Then sunay we had to go to walmart to take back a small heater that just kept tripping the electricty so wasnt going to work for us , so we walked there and waled home.. about 4 miles all togerther , I got a good work out that day cause i did 50 mins on treadmill( i wanted to do 60) . Husband did great even thou i know he was sore after and complained a little that i walked him to I think he loved it and will do it more on weekends since most times we dont do a lot, trying to save money.I felt so good so engergized and so close to him , which i have been waning to do something like this for a long time.
Its the little things that really do make the differerence and make you happy!

    Hi Geri,

I am so glad that you had a wonderful weekend. You are a role model in so many ways to me. I pray some day that we get to meet each other and spend sometime together. I hope to get back into working out six days a week starting this week.
That's a good that you and your husband went walking together for the both of your health and relationship. emoticon

How i am now..

Its january now and i started on this site in january and i am almost at my goal, but doesnt matter if i am at my goal or not, I am happy i have lost all i have!!! Its been a long journey and i have learned a lot and have grown as a person and have tried to help some on the emotional eaters team which i am so like!! And i know so many are still struggling with emotionalk eating and i know i have in the past and still do a little but i have learned to deal ith it in different ways. I want to thank everyone who has been a good friend to me and helped me get to where i am now! Its all worth all the work and effort and will change you for life! This is a life style change not a diet! So keep moving and YOU all will do it too!

    Hi Geri ,
I am so proud of you for making your goal. I started in February and there is no way I will make my goal seeing I am about at the same weight I started out at. I will not give up but it is hard to be excited for me seeing I am no where near my goal. I think I have been eating emotion lately . I really need some one to keep at me with my eating and exercising everyday and tell me what I need to do to get this weight off.

What things you don't think about

What we don't think about after we lose so much weight is things that are small but mean a lot. Like being able to sit at a table at a restaurant and not worry you wont fit!. That you can wear just about any watch cause your wrist is so much smaller. That you can now wear some rings you couldn't before cause your fingers were so much bigger. You can walk and even run cause your so much lighter!!!! What i think about since i am older if something happens to me i am not very heavy to get on a gurney getting into a ambulance's many things come to me about losing weight that i am grateful for. Just being more healthy and having a better life.. Has been a long journey but i so learned a lot. Learned how to deal with stress and emotions and not to turn to food to deal with them.
The hardest part is loose skin.. not much i can do about it so another thing i deal with and just thank god i lost weight and doing good.. i can keep up with grand kids too! they love it! My husband says i am skinny!!! what a wonderful thing to hear..!
So you might think you cant do this weight loss but you can and all it takes it time and work. I have done stupid things and gone crazy with food but finally doing much better and almost to my goal!

    You and your husband look like a beautiful couple. Was that picture taken at the wedding you two went to? You are doing so good you keep up the good work. You will see your goal alot sooner then I will ever see mine. Everyone at one point in there life eats to much and puts on weight so don't call your self stupid. Vacation was great!

Well made it back from vacation and even lost 2 more pounds!! There was little time to be sitting around within 3 days we went to lego land and disneyland and universal studios.. we must have walked 10 miles or more we were runing to each ride and standing in lines too! we had to make sure we got to go on all we wanted before heading home on thrus. So got a lot of exercise and ate a lot less but good things so did well. Each morning i did have a cooked breakfast.. omlet but it was small and had fruit too! So if i can do this on vacation so can anyone .. Me and husband always shared too so that helped a lot! But as good as vacation was and we had a great hotel and all it wasa great to be home and get back on treadmill and have my own food at home and be in more control. so down 89 pounds now and working toward my goal..!
When i look back i still cant believe i got this far, its been a increiable journey and one i wouldnt have gone thru if it wasnt for this site and all the wonderful friends on here and also from all the message board postings cause i have learned a lot thru thoes and things i had read on the site! Of course it helped to watch Oprah a lot of times when she had shows, abnout diets and also about * the secert also watched" I can make you thin " and that show really helped me.. got me thinking of more of eating slower and less too!@ so a lot helped and i am so grateful i am still going strong and soon will be at my goal..
Thinking postive, eating less and better and keeping busy anbd exercising is the most important.. so keep going and you will do it too!

    I am so proud and Happy for you. I wish you lived by me to motive me more. I still am working out but not like I use to. I need to get back in the groove and exercise six days a week. Three strength and three cardio, right now I am doing two days a peice of each. I need to get back in to a routine, of exerciseing three morning a week. Then do the strength early evening two nights and then on Saturday do both strength and cardio.

Its Been awhile

well its Sept now and been doing good. I exercise each day and eat pretty good! Sometimes i have some bad days, have too much sweets but all and all i do great and keep busy and not think much about food.. Exercise helps me so much if i didn't have the energy to do it or make it a habit like i have i wouldn't have lost as much .As of today lost 81 pounds! it seems incredible to me at my age i am able to do this. But i have and even thou in the beginning when i started my goal was to be at 180 i think for me i need to be at 150. well see how i feel and what is best for me..
The best thing about losing is having energy and being able to sit in a restaurant and not worry the table is too close and have to move cause don't feel comfortable also.. to look better in clothes!! no one will understand all this until they go thu the progress and then they will understand..
Life is good and i am so glad i did this!!! And everyone else can just takes being positive and determined

    You Keep going Girl you are doing real good. I am very proud of you and all that you have accomplish. How tall are you that should determine how much weight you should lose? If I get down where I want to be that will be a good weight for my height. I can see where I lost it off my thighs and I can start seeing definition in my waist area. emoticon emoticon emoticon
