Havent done a Blog in awhile..

Haven't had time or just haven't wanted to do a blog.. now its time..
I finally had to admit to myself i have gained a little weight.. not a lot but a bit.. and of course it first goes to stomach or waist and that the worst place for me. I went to the mall the other day.. trying on clothes and realizing yes i have gained a little and i cant just put on a L or sometimes XL and feel like its my size.. so finally realizing it i have been doing so much better with food and back to exercising a bit more .. i have exwercised but now i am doing treadmill more.. making it more intense..
I know i slowly let bad food back in my diet, thinking i would never gain back.. but i was kidding myself and not really being truthful . So now i tell myself you can have things once in awhile but never to over do it..!
And the best thing my husband is helping much more.. we are going to start going to the mall to walk it.. running up escalators too! as many times as we can,.and ride bikes in the am when its cool.. so with his help i know i will get back to where i was and will feel much better..!
It is mind over matter and realizing you have to make the difference every day,.

    You will lose the weight again in no time. You are such an inspiration. You have exercised so much and I am sure you are in great shape. Whenever I gain a pound, it is also right at my waistline! Happy to hear you and your hubby are exercising together. emoticon

    emoticon Geri, you are right where you need to be. And kudos to hubby who is helping you. We may take a step back but if you realize it and act, you are just where the normal weight population is. Their weight fluctuates and they act. I am envious that you can run up stairs. You go girl!

havent been able to do a lot on here.. hard when i am doing everything on i phone.. so by the end of this month daughter is moving in and wll be able to be online a little more.. going to be hard with daughter and grandkids but will be good cause get to see them much more and will be able to save some money and get ahead.. since husband still is working this month.. so change is hard but always good.. things happen for a reason.. so i look at it like a good thing.. even if its hard..


I really think i need to rethink portion control!~

I think since holidays i haven't been doing good on portion control. Now rethinking it and eating much less,i am finally losing! With exercise and keeping so busy its just what i needed. I think even if you lose all the weight you want you always are in this journey of learning and growing and trying to do whats right so you can keep weight off. I still have weight to take off but i am on my way and feeling awesome about it.The hardest thing and always will be .. is sweets, chocolate ! I really wished there was this magic pill or something that could get me to stop craving it. But i am trying to over come.. one day at a time! Thanks for all my good friends who stop by to say hi and are still here.. i am here for you!

    Nothing better than chocolate and we all have our triggers. i can't have those skinny type ice cream bars in my freezer because I can't eat just one! You are doing great.

    I agree that as we lose weight we always continue to learn new gets a bit more difficult to lose weight as we are older. But you have done an awesome job. You are such an inspiration. emoticon

  I love chocolate too.

Trader Joe's has Dark Chocolate Wedges (like a cut-up pie), where the serving size is 2 wedges, at 70 calories. It's so rich, usually I don't even eat 2 wedges.

Also Jello has a Chocolate Mousse in the dairy case that is so good it's making me consider giving up ice cream. It's 60 calories and feels totally indulgent.

was having a hard time exercising since christmas.. being so cold and treadmill is in the garage and no room for it in the house.. so nwasnt good.. so now i have this older exercise bike.. can fit it in the tv room.. and i exercise each day on it. The best thing is it works upper body too.. cause arms move.. it makes me feel so good.. i can finally get back to where i was and lose.. which i am slowly doing.. so things do happen.. just takes time.
Would you believe the bike just cost me 15 dollars .!? woohoo.. i am so happy!!

    well actually i think my exercise bike is better.. i can go much faster than walking.. its good to mix exercise up.. so walking and biking is good.. might want to get new shoes.. cause that might be your problem

    Good for you. Do you think the bike is as good as plain old walking? My hubby made me buy him a bike last year. Its just sitting there gathering dust. I walk, but my feet have really started telling me enough already. I've been thinking I might trade some walking minutes for the bike. But will it be the same?

Days are cold..

Its so hard to get in a habit to exercise when its so cold out.. But now that sun is out and looks like it will be nice all week i am energized to work out and do more. I am back to weights and going on treadmill and feeling so good!!! So never give up.. plan ahead.. keep moving.. don't be a couch potato.. we can win this battle.. it takes time and planing and making good habits.. WE all can do this!!!
