Declarations for a better life

I'm declaring this weekend and all weekends until I am at a great satisfying weight that I will work out every weekend and watch my eating and Saturdays.. It is my weak day for eating junk.

I am also declaring to change my life for the better, I am going to eat food that is beneficial and wonderful with antioxidants and fiber and color.

My home is my castle. I will keep it in order so I can breathe and relax and enjoy and CREATE.

I am declaring a healthy life. I will use the tools at sparkpeople and weight watchers.

I declare to not volunteer for anything that is not headed toward my life goals.

I am worthy and I am going to create a body I'm very proud to call mine.

Inspired to walk everyday the rest of May

Call it the May month of movement. I'm doing it. I was weighed in last night after 8 weeks of not knowing.. not too bad on the damage. Still down 3 pounds.. this was after vacation and not tracking.. I'm back to tracking and moving.... No gains and I consider that success.. Learned a trick last night at WW and implemented it, I ordered a cheese pizza out with a friend and asked for the to go container right away. I ate 2 small peices and popped the rest away, the comment from the server was " I could never do that!"... fun stuff, I'm in control again

May Day Festival

Can't wait to go to our city's annual May Day Festival.. It is sponsored by a puppet theater and the parade is wonderful.. see some pics.. I'm going to get a lot of good walking in and see friends... went for a long spring walk today and will again tomorrow and again at the festival. see pics!

8 year anniversary.. Easter day

This year instead of family events, we are going to a nice hotel and celebrating our Easter and anniversary.. I'm so excited.. it will be really fun! We held off going to dinner on Wed the actually day and I'm scheduling a nice lunch at a downtown french restaurant.

1 week Easter challenge! Who's joining?

This week, 30 minutes of cardio a day, 3 stretch classes, no refined carbs and easy on the sugar, not completing quitting sugar, but get darn close and replace with gorgeous fruits.. Anyone in?

    I am doing this- anyway I can!
Swapping stretch classes for strength training at gym and 15 mins stretching daily.
30 cardio a day, yes!
Fruit- yes!
Carbs...I eat, not too much.

    I'll work on it. I've been really into fruits recently, like strawberries and blueberries, and they are as sweet as candy to me now. I'm aiming for 40 minutes of exercise a day.

    Yeah, kinda... no can do on the carbs, coz I live for carbs, refined or otherwise, but I can quit sugar because I already have!

30 minutes cardio each day & stretching - whoo hooo!
