NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER TODAY! MAY 3, 2012

Thursday, May 03, 2012

THIS PRAYER CAME FROM ONE OF MY MENTORS KENNETH COPELAND.
LET US PRAY:

Throughout the history of our nation, prayer has always been America's instrument of guidance, protection and strength. Today, on the National Day of Prayer,

Our prayers still make a difference! Pray with us for our nation:

Father, I bring the needs of our government before You and ask You to bless our nation through godly leaders. I magnify the Name of Jesus and declare that He is Lord over this nation.

Father, I pray according to 1 Timothy 2:1-3 which says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour."

I pray, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, for our president, the vice president, all the Cabinet and the chief justice and associate justices of the Supreme Court to receive the wisdom of God, to act in obedience to that wisdom and for the power of God to flow in their lives.

I pray for the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives to find Your peace and direction, and for these men and women to act and lead according to Your Word. A house divided against itself cannot stand, therefore, I pray for them to be unified in righteousness for the sake of the nation.

I pray for Your protection to cover all our law enforcement officers and the men and women of the military. I ask for godly counsel and wisdom for judges across this land. In the Name of Jesus, I pray that You and our kingdom of righteousness be manifested in the hearts of all those who are in authority in any way.

Father, Your Word says to pray for the peace of Jerusalem because those who love Jerusalem shall prosper. Lord Jesus, because You love Jerusalem and wept over it, I love it also. I pray for Jerusalem to receive the Shalom of God, which brings wholeness—nothing missing, nothing broken. I pray that no leader of our nation will make any decision n that will harm Jerusalem in any way. And in the Name of Jesus, I pray that You reveal Your perfect will to all the leaders of Israel. I ask You, Lord, to reveal Yourself to each person. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayers that are in accordance to Your will. I receive the answers, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(Scripture References: 1 Timothy 2:1-3; Psalm 122:6; Mark 3:25; Proverbs 21:1; 1 John 5:14-15)

Thank you for standing in agreement with us and millions of believers across America. Your prayers make a difference!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I'VE BEAT THE SUGAR CRAVING/ADDICTION!

Saturday, April 14, 2012

HELLO AND HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU ALL! emoticon

As some of you may know, I chose the month of March to not eat sugary snacks and desserts. I was motivated when one of my Spark friends posted that she was fasting sweets for Lent. So I decided to attempt to get that sugar craving under control by using the month of March to combat it. I’ve been asking God to take the cravings away but it’s not that simple for me. Yes, He could have did just that but what happens when I fall back into that habit. What He did do for me was make it easy. Simply put…I stopped buying sugary snacks, candy, and cookies for myself. I didn’t even bake any cakes for my son. Every day that passed my excitement swelled and when March 31, 2012 arrived I knew I had beaten it. God knew I could do it with His Help. Sometimes we ask God to do things that WE have the ability to do. Yes He will intervene with miracles but sometimes we have to DO and ACT as we BELIEVE that ALL things ARE Possible.

I must confess that I am totally delivered from that snare. No…I’m not saying that I will not eat a cookie or a piece of dessert again but I have a handle on it and I still have not returned them to my daily meal plan. On April 3, I started following the Flat Belly Diet for Diabetes meal plan. Ever since then my body feels different. I’ve lost weight and inches. This plan works with four 400 calorie meals per day which includes a monounsaturated fat with each meal. Those are: olives, nuts, seeds, nut butters, olive oil, grape seed oil, safflower oil, avocados, and flax seed. This is just what I can recall but any monounsaturated fat. Also you can eat Real Dark Chocolate. Not the kind that is made with sugar as the first ingredient but the one with the cacao in it. Now I bought my first bar of that just yesterday and had a small piece as they suggests.

Ever since I started this meal plan I have been faithfully measuring my foods and tracking each calorie that I put in my mouth. To tell the truth, some days it’s hard to eat all of that food. I enter the bed time hour with no desire to find me something to snack on. One of the meals is a snack even if it’s 400 calories or you can have two 200 calorie snacks. But I can’t go below the 1600 calories per day. I checked the book out from the library and that’s why I decided to try it. Well…I did hear about the original one from Prevention. Yep this is the one with the Sassy Water. I haven’t made that since I started but I will. Now I’m not into “diets”, but this meal plan concept works for me so I will stick with it. I also kept an eagle eye on how much sugar was in the other foods and cut back on those that had more than 1 teaspoon in them. I know that WITH God ALL Things are possible. I’ve ALWAYS Known and Believed that. When I did that no eat sugar month, I knew that I TRULY got that conquered. You just don’t know the turmoil I’ve went through with that craving. Of course, some of you DO know. I give my Lord God ALL The Glory and HONOR for His Power In Me. It was in me ALL the time.

It would be so simple for Him to just take OUR cravings away. Then what good would that do for us. We learn by doing! I’m a doer of the Word and I’m BLESSED IN MY DEEDS! You too can bust that sugar craving. We were created to have DOMINION so that means SUGAR or ANY other food CAN NOT RULE over US! I’m staying on this path of SUCCESS and EXPECT To Keep Making PROGRESS every day for the rest of this life. Thank YOU LORD!
Blessings to All!

This is so outstanding! I did not give on sugar completely, I just buy it absentmindedly most of the time. Once I eat that package or container of whatever I eat, I move on. I have been doing well since Lent & actually my hubby bought me more red vines for my birthday last week. I have been trying not to have them most of all cause they are not the best for my blood pressure. I have however got back on the horse of working very hard to have discipline. Meaning, we can eat 2300 calories daily because if we are active we actually burn about that doing our daily task. Well take 500 calories burned & we have weight loss. I bought a pair of jean that fitting me nicely. I still have a little bulge over my belt but not a mushroom. Progress is slow but steady does win the race.

God bless Deb & thanks for the motivation!!!

    Hi Ciara,

I loved this blog entry, thanks so much for sharing this with us! I'm about to start my diet/exercise and one of the things I'm most keen to do is beat my sugar craving, although it's going to be hard. I really agree with you - it's best to beat it yourself because then you are most empowered to persevere with a commitment to yourself! Are you in the US? I'm in the UK (Scotland) and have just joined the community. I'll look forward to seeing more of your blog. Best wishes to you, Avril xxx emoticon

SOWING SEEDS OF FITNESS AND HEALTH

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

2 Corinthians 9:6-7b: But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7a Every man according as he purpose in his heart…

Those familiar with the Kingdom of God know that everything starts with a SEED.
I was reminded of this after I worked out and immediately went into prayer. As I sow my workouts, healthy eating habits, drinking water, sleeping and even laughing those seeds yield an increase. That’s if we sow them knowing that we will REAP A HARVEST.

We should never think that our efforts are in vain. And if your mindset is that pray and ask for clarification and direction in what you need to do next in order to get the results you desire. Ask and You SHALL Receive. Ask in FAITH and be ready to get an answer. It may not be just when you ask but He’s always faithful to lead us in the path that brings prosperity and success in our lives.

That was such an epiphany hearing that in my heart. God knows how to make ALL Grace abound our way. He’s interested in what we are interested in and He promises to PERFECT That which concerns us.

It’s according to what you purpose to do with your seeds of health and fitness. You know your fitness levels and those things that you are still working on. God doesn’t ask us to do things we are not at that level to do. Be patient and YOU WILL REACH EVERY GOAL YOU DESIRE.

Keep Trusting in God at ALL Times No matter what in EVERY AREA of your life. He HAS ALREADY Given us ALL Things that PERTAIN To LIFE and Godliness. It’s up to us to obtain them by FAITH.

Many Blessings to you all and I pray that March is Bringing forth GREAT Rewards this month. I’m doing excellent with keeping away from those desserts and sugary snacks. With God ALL things ARE Possible!

Enjoy the rest of the week!
Love to All!

Trusting in God is indeed the way to live each day! By His grace and by His perfect love, we receive so many blessings. While it is good to pray for what we desire, the best prayer is to pray for God's will to be done. Bless everyone!

MARCH GOALS...FOCUS ON FOOD INTAKE

Thursday, March 01, 2012

One of My Goals. I Never Worry Intentionally Because God Tells Me Not Too. When I Find Myself Being Uptight I Recall The Word and I Pray. I Desire to Be Consistently Doing This. Worry and Stress Cause You To Eat More and Have More Pity Parties and Then A Person's Outlook Gets Clouded and That's How Focus Is Lost. NOT THIS MONTH!
emoticon

First I'm Putting it Out There...NO SWEETS...NO COOKIES, NO CAKE, NO PIES, NO CANDY...NONE! I have realized that the snacks I choose is what's keeping me treading water. That Stops NOW!

The other night The Lord Showed Me How I look at my GOAL Weight. Let Me Tell You That's Motivation Enough to Stop the Madness! Of course it's about my Health. But I'm Being Real...

Having grown up overweight since 4th grade and believing that there was nothing I could do because I was just one of those girls that was supposed to be FAT. That's what they called me. But I had to realize that I Can Change That! With God! And I Have Started The Process. He's My Personal Trainer! emoticon

My Main Focus This Month Is To Monitor My Food and Calorie Intake. Because I Ramped Up My Fitness Minutes My Calorie Intake Was Ramped Up. But That Does Not Mean I have to Eat The Maximum Amount of Calories Allowed. And I Won't.

I Also Have A Journal That I Log My Food In Daily. I Will Also Log It On Spark When Possible. Feb Was Not a Good Food Logging Month But I did Journal My Meals. That's A Must. I have Journals from previous years and I will go through them to see what I was eating in order to compare what helped me get the results I desired.

This is Another Month to Move forward. We ALL Can Do It.

Do something you want to do NOW! Don't wait until you Reach your Goal! Why Put Off Tomorrow What you can do Today unless The Lord Told you to.

Makes Sense To Me!
Many Blessings To A Very Successful Month!

I think that we are all on the same wave length. I am working out really hard but my food intake. I think the eyeballing just isn't working for me & that less is not necessary. Eating healthier is necessary eating more healthy carbs, fats & proteins. I already started eating guacamole but chasing them hard with tortilla chips. I'm supposed to have six. From now on I will count that out & watch what I am eating.

God bless & enjoy everyday!

MY TRIBUTE TO WHITNEY HOUSTON: HOW I DEAL...

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Just Beautiful Regardless.

“Something Beautiful”
Amazing was the Grace
That flowed from your face
No one can replace
Or erase
That voice from the Gift Giver
Now…you see Forever…
Something Beautiful!
The gift to the world
Even as a girl
As your skirts twirled
Notes of praise you hurled
So naturally…
And free…
Something Beautiful!
Your poise and beauty
Gave dignity to your duty
As you crooned
Many hearts swooned
A gift so extraordinary
Gave challenge to the canary…
Something beautiful!
Seeing your first interview in that baseball hat
(I wondered about that)
But we all could see
God’s Glory
And His Hand Freely Anointed You
His Love shined bright and true
I saw…
Something Beautiful!

To Honor Whitney Houston
1963-2012

And This One I Wrote Inspired By The Voice:

In a blink of an eye you went into the Light
All of a sudden you were out of sight
Carried by the Angels to the Throne of the King
Where He commanded you to sing
For those left behind
Praying that they all will redeem the time
For it won’t be long
When we all will sing His Song
High in the Heavenly Dome
Where we can’t do anything wrong
Oh to see that day
Our Jesus in Array
Dancing down the streets of gold
Such beauty to behold
What a glorious Time
As He invites us to come and dine
Singing the Heavenly song
To never do anything wrong
In a blink of an eye
We’ll be far above the sky!
