I REMEMBER 9/11...

Saturday, September 10, 2011

These MultiColored Roses Represents All the Lives Lost on that Day.

I Remember As If It was Yesterday Where I was And What I was doing.

I Worked At Cingular Wireless(Now AT&T) Around the Corner From My House in Tulsa Ok. I was a CSR and We Helped Customers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia. My Customers Were Mainly In New Jersey. Just Before 9am...I don't remember any calls before that...I received a call from a male customer. He was distracted almost immediately and started talking about what he just heard over the television. He couldn't continue and the call was ended...(NO CELL SERVICE EITHER)

After confirmations we Realized the Horrible thing that had happened. THAT WAS THE ONLY CALL I HAD THAT ENTIRE WEEK. We went home and Many of Us Stayed in Front of the Television CRYING and Shaking OUR heads Wondering Why and HOW Did this Happen in The United States of America. We ARE One Nation Under God!

But We Do Understand That The Real Enemy is satan and he tried to destroy OUR SPIRITS. But We ARE ONE NATION UNDER GOD AND WE WILL ALWAYS BE

It was so Hard for me and Many of My fellow Church Members Our Pastor Told us It was Enough...We needed to turn off the TV and focus. That was true. I turned to Prayer and Battling the Works of Darkness. I thank God that He is So Merciful to Us All.
This brought back All the Pain and Memory of The Oklahoma City Bombing for me too.

We As Americans Must Never Forget The Innocent Lives That Were Snatched Away. It Is Well With Our Souls Although We May Feel Sad. We Remember...But WE ARE STRONGER! Unity is a BOND! We should Never Let Something Like This Have to Bring This Country Together in Unity. We Are A Very Blessed Nation for a Reason. WE CARRY THE HEART OF THE FATHER.

So I want to Send God's Peace and Blessings to All of the Victim's Families and I GIVE MUCH HONOR TO ALL OF THE RESPONDERS!!! EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. emoticon

One of the Memorials.

Yes, a day I will never forget.....We were burying my grandmother's only brother on that day......I was getting ready for the funeral that morning and my kids were like "mommie" an airplane just went through a building in New York, I ran to the TV and sat motionlessly with my mouth open and crying because I could not believe what was happening....and then I immediately began to panick because I had an older aunt (my other grandmother's) sister who resided in New York, just blocks from where it happened and "fortunately" she was visiting some of her friends in another state.

Every year it's like I relive what happened on that September 11, 2001 day, and because it was also 4 days before my 37th birthday.

    I will never forget 911.
Yes, we are one nation under God, and as long as we walk after Him in Spirit and in Truth, He promises to bless us.

I am so thankful for His Grace ~ Laura

I love what you said and how you said it. I too remember that day very well. I live in CT only an hour from NYC and I remember getting a phone call telling me to turn on the TV when the first tower got hit and then watching live the second tower go down. To this day I can't help crying when I think of friends and aquaintances that lost their lives or were hurt that day. My daughter had been offered a job at a law firm there but just a few days before decided to take a Hartford, CT job instead. A decision that saved her life. It was a horrible, horrible thing that showed me how precious and fragile life is. Your words hit home with me and I thank you for taking the time to post this.

Margarine like spread, approximately 40% fat, .5 cup
Egg white, 2 large
Vanilla Extract, 2 tsp
Flour, white, 1.5 cup
Baking Powder, 1.75 tsp

Pre-heat oven to 350. Grease and flour a cake pan or line muffin tin with papers. In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and the margarine, Beat in the egg whites one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in milk until batter is smooth. Pour into pan or cupcake liners.

Yummy! I went to the grocery store last week & bought a slice of pound cake. Me & my grandson finally shared the last of it & then Shadow got the crumbs. It was still fresh & it keeps me from gobbling down the whole pound cake if I make or buy one. I also bought butter cookies at the store & ate 3 but the last one was thrown out. I need to eat smart & not starve. I appreciate the month of September but love when its

God bless & enjoy everyday!

Whenever you experience challenges or doubt your ability to accomplish what God has called you to do, say this: I am who God says I am, I can do what He says I can do. I can have what He says I can have. Im a child of the Most High God. If He said it, it will surely come to pass! From T.D. Jakes Ministries/The Potters House emoticon

Thank you for the prayers. My DH is a teacher and 3 of my 4 children are teachers in waiting. (They are subbing but waiting on full time jobs!) Teachers can use all the prayers they can get.
Your blog gave me much peace, but of course isn't that what happens when God is in the mix?
Congrats on your exciting weight loss. I expect to hear more about your journey!
Blessings to you today!

I have started eating breakfast. I knew to do it but my timing was off and I just didn't feel hungry. I set my work schedule to be at night when it's quieter. So I stay up longer and then my meals are later. BUT I'VE CHANGED THAT. emoticon

So I consistently ate breakfast everyday since this month started. emoticon emoticon

I am Consistent in my workouts and they have become the part of my day that gives me the most motivation in this journey.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have been consistent in my time spent on Spark. emoticon

I consistently log my food now. emoticon

I have always been consistent in logging my Daily Fitness. emoticon

You Get the Picture. Of course I've been doing better all around and I'm Consistently Spending Time With God so I Can Keep this Consistent Streak Going! emoticon

Thanks for all of you Who Keep me on my toes. I appreciate all of the Encouragement & Motivation. I Love This Site & Am Grateful to God for Sending me here. emoticon

Hopefully in a month I will be brave to take a full picture and post it. I do have a little problem with my "chest". lol But I'll get over it. But I'm happy in the changes and thank God for His Help.
Enjoy this Second week of August and NEVER GIVE UP! emoticon

Many Blessings to You All!

Consistancy is probably one of the most important parts of this journey...right along with learning to bounce back quickly. You have done both!! Good for you.

I wish I could say the same thing. I am still eating decently, but boy the exercise time has escaped me some how..and I actually love to do it...apparently not enough. LOL

Keep up the great work, sparkbuddy!
