It's a myth that eating late will make you gain weight. Your body doesn't know what time it is when you eat, and it metabolizes all calories the same way, regardless of the time of day they are eaten. There is no real concern with eating late or close to bedtime, unless you find it disrupts your sleep or makes you feel a sick when you lie down to go to bed.

Hope This Helps a Lot of You. Good to Know! emoticon

Many Blessings to You!

I agree with you about that myth.
I do try not to eat past 8pm though....I just tend to over eat if I do. emoticon

I agree with ALESHABEE! since starting my "LIVE IT" I have a bedtime snack every night! You just have to make sure you have allowed calories for it. It's best to something high in protein and low in carbs. The protein keeps your metabolism going whilst you sleep, so it doesn't have to work so hard in the morning to get your motor running!

    Yummy salad!

I find it more of a discipline thing... that is when a lot of my mindless eating happened ~ so if I wasn't hungry better to not eat ~ not like I needed to gain strength to go to bed ~

So I say if you're hungry and you've planned it... enjoy!!!

I think I will use this in a future "Daily Tip" for the summer 2011 team!!!

It took me a while to understand this, everyone had always told me that it wasn't good to eat after a certain time. I'm glad it is okay because of my husband's work schedule we don't eat dinner sometimes until right before bed.

I eat right before I go to bed and didn't make me gain weight...I actually lost weight :-) It's more about WHAT you eat and HOW MUCH you eat right before you go to bed.

I was relieved to find that late night eating is NOT immediately converted to fat, a myth I'd always heard. I let myself have a couple snacks after dinner but make sure they're healthy.

are a part of my journey is so very humbling. I love and appreciate you all! emoticon

I am seeing changes in my body and it's so exciting. Losing a few pounds and that is

"Inspiring people are vitamins for our spirits. They come in all kinds of disguises and descriptions. If you open your heart to being inspired, they will appear.

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Don't ever forget that. We all have our own pace. Forget about the pace of others. What can you do and in your Strength that God gives you? We sometimes fall to the wayside because we are focused too much on the pace of others and everything that they are accomplishing that you somehow feel short of. Don't think like that!

We are ALL Winners right now. See the End before you start. That's with Anything. That's How God CREATED EVERYTHING. He saw His Finished Product at the Beginning.

We are well able to get to each goal in our lives. Have Faith in God. Have Faith in Yourself.

Your Pace is the Right Pace for YOU! emoticon

Let's Make July Hotter than the Temps in Texas! emoticon Triple Digits!

Blessings and have a GREAT WEEK!

Hello Everyone! Happy Thursday!!!

I don't know why but I always think the day I started was the 7th instead of the 6th so I'm a day late. But it actually started when I decided I wanted change that will last. emoticon

July 6, 2007 Is when I started this journey. It took me about a month to get real serious and maybe that long to start participating with other Sparkers. I will never in my life regret coming here. emoticon

I've went through my beginning in a previous blog so I will not repeat myself. I just want to Highlight that every time I walk...I AM SO THANKFUL! Losing wasn't new to me but losing and KEEPING it off was. emoticon

Of course I am working towards this 30 lb goal. A far cry from the 88lbs I wanted to lose when I started. I know I'll do it and I am doing it. I appreciate every one of you who help to keep me grounded and accountable. I am grateful that God has put you all in my life. emoticon

4 Years! Yes I've gained some and lost it back but my focus is on point and I am in this to win it for a LIFETIME. I thank God for the confidence I have. I used to be so ashamed of being overweight. Mainly because I was teased and bullied when I was growing up. I felt worthless. But I know I am Worth More than anything on this earth. I was worth Jesus Blood! emoticon

So I'm going forward...starting another year and excited about further changes in my body. I'm a far cry from the 233lbs size 24 when I started. I'm 178-183 but I don't trust the scale. Wearing 14's and 16's. I'm excited. I am smaller than when I graduated high school for sure. emoticon

I appreciate Spark People and will forever tell people where they can come and get the best information and support and tools for a successful Lifestyle change ever. All Free of Charge. Thank You Father for that! emoticon

I'm Celebrating this entire month and pray that your journey is as exciting as mines has been. Have met some of the greatest people here and I do appreciate you all. You are my motivation. I can't say this enough. It's TRUE. That's why I say it. You are so Special and You are here because you want to Change what you've been doing that wasn't working. Here, We Are So Very Blessed! Thanks SparkGuy! emoticon

More changes in me to come. I am making progress in every area. Have written over 90000words on my Young Adult know I'm long winded...ready to edit it by the end of this month hopefully then a rewrite that I want completed by December31,2011. And I have many other goals that I'm working towards. emoticon

emoticonI'm still Going Strong and Getting Stronger Daily!
Many Blessings to All of You. My main Encouragement: If you don't know Jesus as Lord of Your LIfe then Ask Him to come into your heart and lead you in His Path for You. Without Jesus I can do nothing. Without Them in my life I would not have found SparkPeople. He's Sweeter than the Day Before. HE LOVES YOU SO!

Thank God for Changes! The scales is creeping down and the inches are coming off and my routine is becoming Healthy Habits. I'm very thankful to all of you who TRULY keep me motivated to succeed. I am Pressing Toward Every Dream and Success My Heart Desires with God I can Do It With You I am doing it!!! emoticon

We know changes are happening in our bodies but it's always great to SEE them. I stress...don't just depend on the scale. Look at your face, waist, neck, chin, even your feet. How do you feel? How farther can you walk? How faster? emoticon

Let's stop dwelling primarily on a number. It's more to this Journey than a number. I'm so happy. I feel great! I know I'm making progress so that means I can Make it Happen!

I encourage you ALL to keep up the wonderful jobs you are doing. No matter how small it's PROGRESS! You should be clicking on that every day on the Huddle Wall. We ARE making Progress each day. In some way we are growing and getting stronger. emoticon

We are doing it TOGETHER! Say it after Me: I can! I will! I do! I have! I AM!!!(HE'S IN THIS PLAN!)
Many Blessings & Happy Saturday!

This is so true. We have to focus more on how we feel & if we see results through inches lost & lumps turning to curves. lol

God bless & thank you for sharing this blog!
