    Love this. I don't have to be perfect, just do better than I did yesterday. I'm training for my second 5k and my boys were trying to get me to win. I tried explaining to them that I don't care if I come in last place as long as I beat my last time.

I'm so HAPPY to see another month! Did you reach your weight loss goals for last month? Don't fret...March gives us all another opportunity to keep on moving forward! emoticon

I didn't lose the 5lbs but I do know the obstacles that I am getting out of my way. This month is 31 Days to a Healthier Diet. I have Portion Control Problems. I love black beans and black eye peas...etc. 1/4 or 1/2 cup servings are just not what I think is enough. lol Then I go overboard with it. But I'll get it right. I'm on a MISSION! emoticon

I'm going for inches this month. I lost 2lbs then I lost 1lb...I guess part of the 2lb loss was water. emoticon

I'll have more days of walking and running and the increased Strength training because I want to be Healthy and Fit this year for sure. I DO WANT THIS!

Thanks for all the support I receive from ALL of you. I have made it this far because of the wonderful friends God had put in my life. You ALL deserve emoticon.

So no matter what happened last month or didn't happen last month...It's the Past. Let's All move forward to the VICTORY that we know we have!!! (Getting ready to go run/walk/dance outside!)

RUNNING AND WALKING

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Just checking in to let you know about my running and walking progress. I've been trying since forever it seems to get the running into my walking. I think my mistake was attempting it during these Texas HOT emoticonsummer months. I don't care how much water you drink, a beginner will have some problems. emoticon

Well I have been consistent in the running and walking. Several days I did only speed walking but it still worked for me. I'm training for the Spark Virtual 5K in April. I know now that I will be ready and able to complete it. I have been running more than I thought I would and on busy venues. (In view of the Highway or High School traffic.) emoticon

My normal workout time for this is 85 mins. I have a set of songs on my Ipod that I work out too. I made the list myself. A mix of Gospel, Slow R&B and Contemporary Christian. It's a great mix and helps to rev up the workout and also encourages me to do it.

Thursday was supposed to be my rest day but the day turned out to be so beautiful that after 5pm I took my break from work and went out. The wind was really blowing but I persevered. I did come back sneezing for the rest of the night. And my nose was all stuffy and blowing it all night too. emoticon (But you can't get a cold from cold air they say)

Today is my rest day for sure. Can't wait to walk and run on Saturday morning. I'm becoming the runner I want to be. I've kind of pushed my new DVD to the side because I rather take my workout outside on any day of the week. emoticon

So I want you to know that what ever you choose to do as a workout just be consistent and keep on keeping on. It will pay off and the rewards inside are priceless! You might want to get involved in the Virtual 5k too. You don't have to run at all; you can just walk if you like. The information is on SparkGuy's Blog.

SPIRITUAL
1. God is Always First. The Word, Prayer (Communion with God in every way), Ministry (My Part in the Body of Christ), Being a Witness.
2. Loving Myself the Way God Loves me. (Very Important)
3. My family and Friends are Extremely important in this Journey.

SOUL(MIND)
1. Meditating on the Word Daily.
2. Keeping Positive and Watching What goes into my Heart(Spirit).

3. Watch what comes out of my mouth at all times. (Think before I speak)

BODY
1. My Body is a Temple made by God. I have to Love my Body before, during and after all the changes that I desire.
2. Think before I eat.
3. Exercise is Vital to a Successful Journey for me.
4. Look in the mirror and smile and see my Beauty.


I expect that my Journey will be totally prosperous. I have success now because I have lost weight and kept it off. This is the first time in my life that I have lost weight and kept it off. I may not be at my goal weight right now but I will get there. This has been a long time coming. I grew up overweight and thought that I was supposed to be a ďfatĒ person. Part of my destiny. Thatís what Stinking thinking is. Itís amazing the things that go through the minds of people like me when growing up overweight. But now I know differently. How Wonderful and Freeing it is to know the Truth and to Act on that Truth You Know. As I am Consistent in the three areas every day of my life I expect a Great Successful Journey all the days of my life!

Hello Sparkfriends!!! Hope you have been having a GREAT WEEK!

My days are filled with the outside. The Sun and beautiful days. The temps have been in the upper 60's and expecting 75 today to continue on through the weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Woke up early on Tuesday and worked out with the Lord doing mini tramp jogging and walking then I worked out my lower body. I actually did a little Circuit Training. Then I went outside and ran and walked in that order. I surprised myself. emoticon

I realized when I was running that it's in mind. I have to want to run and just do it and not stop too soon. I did it and it was so fulfilling. A friend told me that I was already a runner when I told them about my goal. I am a RUNNER and I love it.

This morning I did speed walking instead of walking because I chose the wrong shoe. emoticon

I still can do some walking and running later today. Well I need to get some work done. Been slacking a little but it's all right. I'm my own boss. lol

Remember you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to do. We are conquering everything that stands in our way of Success!!!

    Girl, you are one FIRE!! I always get a pick me up when I read your blog! I did Total Body Sculpt today but I would like to do some cardio which I was thinking about Tae bo but I painted up a storm today & I just wanna go home.
