OK! Well I am from a small town in Oklahoma, but I have moved to North Dallas almost 2 years ago. I noticed last time I went up for a family visit it wasn't as easy to eat healthy. It wasn't because it was easy to cheat since I was on a "minivacation." It was because there is NO healthy places to eat. Everything is like greasy-home-country cookin'! No wonder I am over weight lol. Oh yeah and it doesn't help that my mother never has groceries lol! So I'm constantly eating out when i'm there. And just to let ya know everyone usually knows everyone in this town and i'm not the one who really likes to bump into a lot of ppl I haven't seen in a while and chat up all day long about what i've been up to. I'm not a mean person lol there's just some ppl in the town i'd like to avoid....so I try to stay away from family restaurants and just try to grab something fast. But the choices are like McD's and Burger King (oh how i love thee BK) it's basically your typically fast food junk stuff. But here in my new currect residency there's endless healthy possibililies for on the go healthy choices! Plus I always have a stocked pantry of healthy things to cook. So anyhoo...I'm leaving for Oklahoma this evening...I hope I can do better than i did on my last visit. I guess I will just buy some groceries and do what I can to stay away from fast food places. any other suggestions??

    If you going to a fast food place try to order something that looks somewhat healthy. Like chicken and salads, but watch out because sometimes they are loaded with calories. I would definately bring some go-to snacks with you, it would help out a lot!!

When you come back just be fierce with your plan just in case your good intentions are ruined. It happens :)

What I got into this weekend!

Okay! So I'm just a little excited about what happened this weekend! While visiting my Mom this weekend...I remembered I had some old jeans in my old closet. I decided I would just try to see if I could get them over my hips...I thought I know I'll never get them buttoned but I'll be fine with getting them up to my waist! As I was putting them on I got that feeling you get when you're in the dressing room of a store and you think "well crap! since they are so tight on my legs there's no way these babies are goin over my hips!" WELLLLL...I got them over my hips! And NOT only that!!! I got them suckers BUTTONED!!! The best part about it though was...I thought they were a size 18...I went to my mom and asked her to look inside the jeans and tell me what size they are...They were a size 16-17!!! Freakin crazyness!!! I was wearing a size 22!!! Now they were still pretty snugg...and I had a bit of a muffin top HAHA! But that's not the point! LOL! The point is I got them on my large bod! So I just had to celebrate and tell some ppl bout my good news! Hopefully one day those will be fitting loose! emoticon

    THAT is a WooHoo moment. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
The book that I got the ""NO EATING WHILE STANDING UP" ruel Is the "Beck Diet Solution" which I borrowed from the library. It's not a diet, but more tips to learn to control appetite and overindulgence etc.

She says that “Since you’ll be eating less food, it is important for you to see all of it spread in front of you at meal or snack time so you can be more visually satisfied."

I was also not aware of how often I had to quell the impulse to pop something into my mouth while standing, even something that I was permitting myself . It truly IS far more satisfying to sit down and eat a well prepared planned meal.
I AM allowing myself to drink while standing, but only no cal fluids, which for the most part, all of my drinks are these days.

Seeing results is PRIMO!

I can't believe how much weight I have lost! Even though it's really not that much I just never thought I could even lose that! Okay well for the longest time I wasn't really seeing or feeling results...but now in my clothes it is actually showing. My pants are baggier and it feels awesome. Although I don't feel like I look smaller...it just makes me happy to know that to some people I do look slimmer. I just really hope that I can keep this up!!!

Feeling very pumped today!

Okay so today I am feeling very motivated to do something that's gonna make me sweat! Yesterday I was very proud of myself, I went to the park alone without having someone else with me. And I think if it wasn't for my love of music i wouldn't have walked as far as I did. But since I had my ipod plugged in my ears playing all the friggin great songs I have on there, it was hard to stop. It was very peaceful even though the wind was about to knock me over too. haha. I didn't work up a huge sweat but I am still proud that I didn't go straight to the couch after work. Anyhoo....so today I have a good idea of what I want to do after work.....and that is to sweart hardcore lol. Plus I'm goin to eat a nice healthy dinner. No matter if neither one of my roommates join in on either one of my plans I still plan to stick to it! Whelp...let's hope this feeling lasts the rest of the day!!! Wish me luck!
