A while back I was looking through recipes, either on here or Pinterest and found a recipe for soup that had kale, chicken, carrots and chicken broth as some of the ingredients. I thought that I had saved it, but can not find it. Does anyone know of a similar recipe that they would be willing to share?

I talked to my Mom a little while ago to see if Dad liked what she had bought when we went black Friday shopping and she said he wasn't home. She said that he had ran to the grocery store and while he was there saw that some one was having car trouble. He went to help them and found out they had been visiting family and were on their way home, about two hours away yet. They were an elderly couple and didn't know anyone in the area, no cell phone to call anyone else to help them. So my Dad did some poking around and so on with the car, made some phone calls and found out that the nearest place to get whatever part they needed would be about 30 miles away (of course it was after normal business hours). So whats he do? Loads them up and takes them to where they needed to get the part, brings them back and puts it on for them!! He was still working on it the last I knew but they thought it would be finished in just a few minutes. He offered for them to go wait at Mom and Dads house, have some coffee, warm up and have something to eat, but they didn't want to put them out anymore. I think my DAD is pretty darn AWESOME!!
Talked to my Mom this morning (Saturday Nov 30th) and she was laughing so hard I couldn't understand her at first. I guess the man my Dad helped last night was very hard of hearing,2 hearing aids, and my Dad is very soft spoken, and tends to sort of mumble (his teeth don't quite fit right) and when Dad brought them to the house Mom thought that the man was yelling at my Dad, and then my Dad was trying to talk loud enough for him to hear and Dads teeth were slipping around a bit and to hear my Dad raise his voice is so surprising that Mom was upset at first since they were outside and she couldn't really hear what was being said!
Guess they made it home safe and sound, just a few hours later then planned!

As I am sitting here this morning I have been thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for, and I have many! The most important is my family! We may fuss and disagree from time to time, we don't always like the choices that some may make and I'm sure they question mine at times, but they really are pretty great people and I know when I really need them they are there for me! I am so very fortunate that both my parents are in fairly good health and my children are healthy and my granddaughter has been seizure free for over 10 months!!
I have friends that even though I don't see as often as I would like, are closer to me now then ever. They make me laugh, give me a shoulder to cry on, and generally keep me sane, sometimes they get me in trouble too!
I have a job, with insurance, that even though at time is overwhelming, is better then the jobs I have had in the past. I know that some are struggling now to even to find a job, and insurance as a benefit around here is hard to come by.
I have a house that is mine, or will be in 20+ years a car to get me to the places I need to get to, or to just take me to where I want to go.
I have warm clothes and many pairs of shoes to get me through the winter.
I have SparkPeople!!
I have a dog that is spoiled!
There are many more things I could list that I have to be thankful for!
To say that I am truly blessed is an understatement!!
I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

it's Friday! WootWoot!! Managed to my goal amount of steps in today but none in the 10 minute zone but did do some yard work, mostly raking. I wasn't really cleaning up the yard as making big leaf piles for my granddaughter and myself to play in. I would rake a huge pile of leaves then we would crawl, jump and roll in them! Don't tell her but I think her "hamma" had more fun then she did. We finally got damp and cold enough that I had to make her come into the house. Did supper, bath, her meds (she has a form of epilepsy) and played with play dough. She was so tired and was fighting sleep. Then she started the "I want my Mommy" "I want my Daddy", and she didn't want her Papa!
She's finally sleeping so I think it's my time for bed also!
Have a great weekend!!!
