I ahd a very irritating and hectic morning, but I will not elaborate as I do not want to dwell on it. I didn't get to eat breakfast before I left the house this AM so when I got to work I weighed my self and it was 247.6 YAY!!! I was getting very discouraged earlier this week but things are better now. Just concentrating on staying on track.

Doctor visit and update

So my doctor the one who recomended SparkPeople to me, was very impressed with the weight loss so far. SHe is also a member of Spark People, How cool is that!!. Anywho... we went over my test results and my thyroid levels came back normal ( my mom has hypothyroidism), I am also negative for lupus, gout and rhematoid arthritis. My cholestrol was good overall, my good cholesterol was 44 and the recomended was 46, my bad cholesterol was only slightly high, but my total were 191 she said and that was good. My blood pressure was 132 today...I was NOT happy about that. MY liver values were off though, not enough to cause major concern but she did another liver panel today just to make sure.
BUt the exercising has helped alot.n I do feel better as a whole, though the lower caloric intake makes me mega tired at night. I walked 0.9 miles today to get the kids from the bus stop with my BFF, and I will still ride the new recumbant bike I bought this weekend.
I like my doctor, she is highly encouraging. I especially like it that we only have like a 10 pound difference in weight and we are the same height so she knows what my daily struggles are. She is super witty and funny and is so encouraging. I need that. She even told me to go to vet school and that I am wasting my talent and intelligence by just being a tech. I don't know about that, thats a lot of pressure and stress to think about right now.
I also discovered that Chilli's has some AWESOME chicken brest on their "Guilt Less CHicken Platter" sooooo yummy!!!!!!

So today, though not over yet has been better than yesterday. i still haven't done my cardio today. But the kids first day of school was today so I have been busy, when they are in bed I will jump on the gazelle. I kept busy at work and drank 10 glasses of water there, so I stayed full. I have consumed 11 glasses today and i am working on my 12th right now. My total calories today came in around 1300, 500cal UNDER my recomended 1880-2240 cal per day goal. So I am pretty proud and will reward myself tonight with 3 oreo cookies...and I'm going to take about 5 minutes each to eat them!! So I can enjoy every nibble.
I had a very filling dinner, bowtie and tri-colored rotini pasta with garlicy marinara and a cup of chopped onions and a cup of chopped green peppers with just a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Yummy! LEFT OVERS FOR LUNCH TOMARROW!! The keeping full on water thing REALLY helps. I didn't feel deprived all day!

I've recorded every single thing I have injested since the day I joined and I am consistantly over my range in calories!!! Usually only by 50 but sometimes as hight as 120 cal. Argghh. I am not emotionally binging either. What am I going to do???

  Recording everything you eat is GREAT! You are being consistent and that (for me!) is half the battle.

See how you do over the next few weeks - I found it easier to make small adjustments after I built my base of consistent eating. As an example, my husband drinks 2% milk, but I switched to 1% (I told you it was small!) I stopped eating crackers (even the high fiber ones) at night (bad habit) and just stuff like that.

You'll be fine! Keep up the great work!!
