I've been ill since yesterday with fever, some nausea, "fuzzy head" and fatigue. Today I went back to bed after DS left for school. I got up at 10 and had something for breakfast, but that didn't go so well afterwards. I logged into SP and caught up with a few people, read some articles, checked out some recipes and then deleted about 100 personal emails that I had archived dating back to 2007. I had some chicken noodle soup for lunch but that didn't taste great and then took another nap with a vague idea of what DH & DS could have for dinner b/c I didn't feel up to cooking.
Here's the shocker: DS brought in the mail when he got home from school and there was a letter from Toyota Financial saying that our loan had been DENIED because Equifax could not verify my identity!!! What??? My heart raced to who knows what speed, I started shaking in disbelief, imagining getting a call soon that it would be repossessed, etc. Yeah, I must be sick to overreact like that. Anyway I called DH at work in tears, trying to read the letter to him over the phone. He said to call the dealer and ask for the guy who helped us with the loan. I called and he said that he knew about the letter, but that everything was OK. It happens all the time and he probably transposed some of the numbers of my SSN. Good grief! He said that if there had truly been a problem, he would have called me within a few days of the sale. He never really apologized, either.
Needless to say I was really mad at the jerk and had an adrenaline rush, so I stirred up a new recipe for crockpot chocolate cake (cooked too long, very dry), made the honey mustard chicken that I had planned a few days before I got sick, cooked couscous & green beans. I was actually hungry and had a nice dinner with the family after all.
