Life without the food tracker!!

Monday, June 23, 2008

I am going to see if I can do it! It's becoming too hard to keep up with because of my busy life!! Plus I was mostly using it to keep me from binging and I am not really having that problem anymore, thank goodness! Also since I am so close to maintenance I'm not going to be so strict on myself. I think I am at the point where I can eat healthy on my own!! We shall see!! =]

Just monitor yourself closely. Some people do fine without tracking, but others will always need to do it.

If you start gaining, make the time for tracking again.

Good luck!

Mini Goal!!

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

In exactly two weeks I will be filming my second commercial for my job and I want to look my best!! It's not a huge deal or anything - a bunch of us from work are in it and its just on the local TV station - but all my friends and family will see it. So my mini goal is to stay within my calorie range and stick to my exercise goals for 2 weeks straight. Id like to think that I would do this anyway but it really helps to have motivation =] Who knows maybe Ill be at my goal weight by then!! I'm siked - it's always better when you have something to work towards ya know?!

New day, new week, new month

Monday, June 02, 2008

Okay so my last post was a little dramatic but I was SOOOO frustrated. I feel like I should be able to have a cheat treat without gaining that much weight....

Anyway after a really really bad day of eating nothing but crap and skipping my workout I am back on track today... and I have decided to up my calories again because I was not eating enough for the amount of calories I was burning so that would probably explain why I gain so much weight when I do cheat. My new minimum is 1400 calories...burning 3000 calories a week I should lose 2 pounds a week. So hopefully I can stick to this and I will be to my goal weigh of 130 in a month and then I can start maintaining.

Thanks for all the support!

Heather, if you don't eat enough your body goes into starvation mode and thinks it will starve so it stores whatever you eat. Therefore, you gain weight no matter how little you eat and exercise. Eat small meals if you can. Good luck.

Hey, we all fall sometimes, but its getting back up that marks success. So even though a bad day makes us feel defeated, always remember that tomorrow is new, so congrats on getting right back into things. And like you said, it pointed out to you what needs to be fixed, so you learned something. With patience, I know you'll reach your goal!

I just don't understand why my body wont allow me to have ONE cheat meal a week without gaining 2-3 pounds!!!! It makes me crazy!! It's not like I am having full blown out cheat days... just like one or two things I don't normally eat! Last night after a day of eating pefect I had an some chips and guacamole and an ice cream sundae and I gained 2 pounds. I probably shouldn't have even weighed in today but Sunday is my weigh-in day and I wanted to know. Hopefully its just water weight and it will be back down soon but uuughhh I am so frustrated...

... I really need some motivation because I am SO ready to just give up. I can maintain 140 eating whatever I want... I'm not happy working my butt off for 138!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here there, don't be so hard on yourself. Believe me I know it can be frustrating, but I would say give yourself a few days and then get back on that scale. I have a feeling you didn't really gain 2-3 pounds since it takes 3500 calories extra to gain 1 pound. You are doing awesome at your goals so far so just pick yourself up and try not to get on that scale for a few days. Have faith and know that YOU CAN and WILL beat that 140 to the ground lol Keep on pushing through and I know you will see the results you're looking for. Message me anytime if you wanna talk emoticon

emoticon I know it's frustrating, but try not to let this get you down. This is something to do with your body and it is not an imperfection on your part. Keep up your consistency, girl. I am sure that weight will go away in no time! just KEEP GOING. you are strong and you're doing awesome. look how far you have come from the way that you probably used to eat. so keep that head up high! emoticon You can do this!
