My Neck is Sore

Thursday, September 29, 2011

I feel like I have a constant stiff neck. It's on one side and it always feels like a pulled muscle. I don't know if if's possibly the yoga or one of the P90X workouts but it's totally bugging me to the point I may have to get it checked out. Grrr.......I'm wondering if I should maybe put the heating pad on it. I already take Ibuprofen for my knee so I can't take more. If it doesn't get better I'll try changing my pillow first and then see what happens.

Oooh! JUNA89. I have some Tiger balm here. Duh! Hadn't thought of that. Thanks! My husband always says it stinks but I don't care.

What's for Dinner

Saturday, September 24, 2011

I have been sitting here for about two hours trying to figure out what to make for dinner and I can't figure out what I want to do. I have gone through the Spark database, two cookbooks and allrecipes.com and still can't figure it out. My husband just got home a little while ago and now I'm waiting to see what everyone else wants.

What's everyone else having for dinner? I'll probably get done with dinner before anyone reads this but it might give me ideas for tomorrow. :)

Tomorrow my friend is coming over to help me get ready for my PartyLite Retirement Open House next weekend. I'm retiring from doing home shows and only keeping my online business open so I have a TON of stuff to sell. Wish me luck and good sales! I need my storage room back! :)

We were to have ham, scalloped potatoes and carrots, but that has been changed to pasta with some frozen home-made sauce. Quick and easy.
Good luck with your Open House!

Rebecca, that's what we usually do, but I figured since I had time I would make something. Guess not! :)

I love those rotisserie chickens! At our house, everyone got to pick their meal. I had scrambled egg whites and Laughing Cow cheese on a whole wheat bagel thin with tomato soup. Along with the soup, Brian had a grilled cheese, and the kids had mac & cheese. Smorgasboard!

Good idea! We ended up going to the grocery store and getting a rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Random thoughts

OMG! I'm watching X Factor and they are on the TERRIBLE auditions! I completely forgot what I was going to write about! Bahahahahahaha!!!!!!! Holy Cow! My ears hurt! :):):):)

Anyway, it's funny because last week I gave myself permission to go up to 2400 calories per day like P90X suggests and I lost a pound and went below my lowest yet. Except this week I've been close to 2000 calories and have felt fine. Go figure. I think I just needed to relax for a week and then add more complex carbs to my diet. More whole grains are good. :)

I did the Chest, Shoulders and Triceps with Ab Ripper X tonight and boy did I feel those pushups! I felt it more this week so I must be getting stronger. I've been better able to perform the exercises instead of having to modify them as much. It's nice. This week is week 7 so 4 more days and then I get a "rest" week before phase 3. I was getting worried that I hadn't seen any results yet but then I read something about how women don't usually see results until phase 3 so I'm looking forward to continuing.

Have a great day everyone!

Update-nothing special

Sunday, September 18, 2011

Since I haven't written in a while I figured I would write an update. I decided this week that I'm going to shoot for the 2400 calories per day that P90X suggests for my weight. I've felt a lot better and haven't gained any weight so I'll see what happens.

Today was my rest day but I cleaned a lot of the house and helped my husband carry out the desk, walls and drawers for the office cubicle he had bought me when I was doing PartyLite full time. It's time it came out of my basement and we took back some room! I'm glad it's out but now we have more cleaning to do.

I'm getting ready for a huge open house for PartyLite to sell off a lot of my extra products. It's in two weeks and I want it to be really successful so I'm taking a lot of time to get it ready.

Other than that, I'm just plugging away at P90X, Tae Kwon Do and fitness class. I hope to start seeing results soon. We'll see. Wish me luck!

Working out is always special -- the "same old" is exactly how you're so consistently getting smaller!

Rearranging my P90X Schedule

Sunday, September 11, 2011

My aunt and I usually go to the gym on Sunday mornings after her Weight Watchers meeting. We haven't gone for the past few weeks since we've been camping or she's been gone or had something to do. This morning we went and had fun. I was only going to go and walk with her on the treadmill and then come home and do my P90X Core Synergistics. But it turns out that I decided to hop on the elliptical (I missed it since I haven't been to the gym since starting P90X) for 30 minutes.

I've been having trouble figuring out how to fit my Tae Kwon classes in with my P90X workouts and I think I figured it out. I'll swap out Cardio X for Grand Master's TKD class on Tuesdays (more intense cardio workout) and swap days with legs and back and Kenpo X so I can do TKD on Fridays. Do you see how my perfectionist brain has to make sure EVERYTHING is in order? OCD anyone? Hee hee!

I'm just happy to have it figured out. Woo hoo! Have a great week!

Way to go on being so committed you actually have to make room in your exercise schedule for different exercises. :) Exercise is great when you view it like you have- as fun playtime! Cuz really, that's what it is. There is nothing to 'endure' if you pick the right activities for YOU. :) Way to go, lady.

RASMUSSEN5 - I love P90X but have heard that Insanity is good because there's no equipment and the videos are shorter. I may try that next!

Thanks! Even though I'm switching two days around and not going "in order" I'll still be getting all the elements in during the week.

Not OCD at all! It's important to get them in, and you've come up with a great way to do it.
