Doing well this week

Saturday, July 09, 2011

Since my trainer suggested I stay at 1800 calories or less I've succeeded 3 days out of 7. The other days I was at 1860, 1900, 2300 and 2100. The highest days were the 3rd and 4th during the holidays, so that made sense.

I still have until tomorrow to weigh in but I've lost about 3 pounds so it has been awesome! :) Update to come tomorrow. Woo hoo!

In support of you, I will also weigh in tomorrow and update my ticker. (I've had a semi-naughty vacation this week.)

Goodbye 170's!

Thursday, July 07, 2011

I met with my trainer last week and told him how I was struggling with cutting my calories and how when I increased them, I lost some more weight. He suggested I still cut calories now but keep it at 1800 per day, which is 200 less per day. When he put it THAT way I realized that it's only one or two things per day to cut out so it's not as bad as my subconscious mind thought it was. I don't think I realized it until he said it. So I did go over that 3 out of the last 7 days, but have done pretty well otherwise considering it was a holiday weekend. I kept it under what I had been eating though, which is good.

This is the 3rd say in the 160's and it feels great. It's working and I'm in the next stage of my journey. Wish me luck! :)

Oh! And I was named the Emotional Eaters Team Member of the Week! Woo hoo!

Today I talked to my trainer and he told me my new goal is to be no higher than 1800 calories per day. So I changed my goals to be within those guidelines and found out that I'm not OUT of the obese BMI range and in the overweight range. WOO HOO! What a HUGE goal! YAY!

Thoughts for the Day

Monday, June 27, 2011

So this morning we're supposed to be getting new windows. Ken (my husband) went to the store for milk and frozen fruit and came home with 20 donuts! Ugh. Frankly, it was pretty mean since I really have a hard time not eating things that are sitting out right in front of me. The good thing is I haven't had one yet. Grrr.......

Last night we had chinese for dinner and I was a little leery at first when Ken suggested Chinese but the place we went to is now serving brown rice (I did the happy dance when I saw the sign) and they had steamed chicken and broccoli on the menu so I did pretty well. Yay me!

Oh well, on to avoiding the donuts for the day. Have a good one people! I feel a trip to the gym coming on today.....:)

Donuts are gone. Kids ate them all. :) Yes Gym after! What time? What are you having at Mom's?

Put the donuts out in the garage for the workers - then they won't be a temptation to you. Going to Mom's for dinner. Gym after?

Thank you for the vote of confidence! I did end up having 1 donut and it was fine but don't need any more. :)

Staying up all night

Saturday, June 25, 2011

Last night I did the Relay For Life with my PartyLite friends and was up all night, walking most of the night. I don't really have to tell you all how THAT went with my eating. I needed to keep my energy up so I knew I had to have a couple of snacks. Some LITTLE snacks really add up. I was exhausted this morning and finally went to bed at 11 a.m. to sleep for 3 hours and then went to a friend's for a party. My lack of sleep definitely played a part in the crap I ate today. I definitely went over my calories between yesterday and today and have A LOT of work to do tomorrow. So much for my 3 pound weight loss last week. I need to go to bed. Still exhausted! Good night.

Remember to look at things at a weeks glance! It's okay to be over - compensate later. Way worth the cause - at least you didn't bust diet over something stupid! Great job! Get some sleep!

Thanks Sis. You're support is awesome!

MITECU - thank you for the encouragement. It is an awesome cause and it was a lot of fun. Although I'm still tired today and not sure if I'm up for any cardio. We'll see. :) Thanks!

Nice job to be committed to a cause such as Relay for Life. I bet you had a lot of fun meeting up with your Partylite friends.

A break here and there is the pause to enjoy the flowers on the journey. You are healthy, strong, committed, motivated, and fit. No worries!

That Relay for Life sounds like fun. You obviously burned calories walking.
Once you get back in sync, you'll go back to your healthy lifestyle.
