Three more pounds!

I lost three more pounds this week! WOO HOO! I also reset my weight goal settings and found out I only have three more pounds to go to get out of the "Obese" BMI category! YAY! So exciting to be getting healthier and losing weigh again.

I have also noticed that my body is changing and I'm starting to see and feel a lot more muscle. It's exciting! That means more to me than the number on the scale since we have already established that I'm more muscle than I think I am. According to my scan, I only need to lose 4 more pounds to be in my goal weight range but I'm shooting for 165 for now and then I"m going to see how I feel and how easy it is to maintain. My personal goal is still 145 but I just want to be healthy and go from there.

It's a beautiful day and I would love to take my kids to the zoo so everyone have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy everything you have been given. :)

Goodbye 180s!

Today is officially the third day the scale has been in the 170s and it's going down. YAY! I'm the thinnest I've been since I was pregnant with my youngest and he's going to be 7 in July so it's a big moment for me. That's not all! Two weeks ago I tried on a couple of pairs of size 14 jeans my sister gave to me and they didn't fit. Thursday evening I tried them on again and one of them is still a little tight around the thighs but I can fit them on - just little way to go. The other pair FITS GREAT! I'm so excited! I can't wait to keep losing!

I started personal training sessions last week Monday and yesterday was my second session. We also started up our fitness class last Saturday at my Tae Kwon Do Dojang and I have really concentrated on increasing my protein so those few changes has really helped me bust my plateau. I'm happy again and ready to keep losing. Wish me luck!

Holy cow!

Thank you to my friend, Nicole, who brought her body scanner to me today. We found out that I have 29.3% body fat, which really isn't too far off where I'm supposed to be, which surprised me! It said that I have 130.43 pounds of lean body mass. Holy crap! It also said that I only have 11.64 pounds of excess body fat, which I really can not wrap my head around. I'm shocked and surprised. My suggested goal weight from the scanner is 165-173 pounds. That's only at the most 20 more pounds to lose. I knew I had more muscle than I thought I did but I did NOT expect these results. I guess the number on the scale means a lot less than I thought it did. It's nice to know that even though I overate the past two weeks and gained 4 pounds, I didn't ruin everything and now I have a clearer view of what I need to do. Back on track today and on my way. Awesome!

    Christine- you have been working so hard at establishign such an active lifestyle! I am not suprised your fat ratio is down. You do so much running around, your bones are denser and your lean muscle mass is much higher. :) Congratulations!

Feeling better today

I'm still on vacation but feeling much better just being with my family and having fun. I worked out yesterday on this Elliptical Edge machine and thought I would fall over from exhaustion! It was hard! It took me 45 minutes to burn what it said was 450 calories but it definitely felt like more. Then we took the kids to this game called MagiQuest. I helped two of the kids do their "quests" and we were walking around and going up and down stairs for 3 hours. Holy cow was I tired last night! I did overeat for dinner but I'm okay with that. Today is a new day and here we go again! We're going back to MagiQuest for a bit to finish up the game and then we're going on the Wisconsin Dells Ducks and then we're going back to the water park. I think I'm just eating fruit salad for lunch! Wish me luck. We'll see what my eating habits bring when I weigh in. I just have to do my best and keep up the exercise and see what happens. :)

    It has been very nice and mostly relaxing. I feel like I've gotten a lot of activity in this week so it's been good. Now to hit the gym tomorrow night and blast some calories. Or maybe TKD class....we'll see. :)

    Thanks Rebecca! I did 60 minutes on the treadmill right now so it's good. And we had Subway for lunch instead of Taco Bell. Woo hoo! Off to the water park again. :)

    It's hard to stick to any kind of plan when you're out of your normal routine. But, hey, you're finding a way to do it! The important thing is that you're conscious of your activity level (Wow!) and your nutrition tracking. Instead of shrugging your shoulders and saying, "Oh, well. I'm on vacation so I can't do anything healthy," you're doing your best to sneak in some workouts. Kudos to you!
