Okay, I decided after black belt testing that I was going to rest and take a little break from my diet for a week. I've tracked everything I've eaten except for a bit last night and am finding that even though I've relaxed on my self imposed limits and not worked out for three days that I'm actually MISSING my healthy foods and exercise. This is a GREAT realization! It shows that I'm committed to making this a healthy life change.
I'm trying to shake my body up a bit to see if I can blast through this plateau. If I go back to my healthy habits and I still don't lose anything as far as weight goes, then I figure I'm at a weight my body likes and will be happy here for a while.
I'm actually not eating as much as I thought I would be. I have only been eating when I'm hungry. I've let myself have a slice of cheesecake, a couple of pieces of pizza, some teriyaki wings, etc. but have not really gone overboard much.
I think I may end the rest days early since I'm itching to do a workout tomorrow and have the day off so I'll be getting that in after my yearly physical. I'm excited to talk to the nurse practitioner (my doctor left and my new doctor is on maternity leave) about my weight loss and see what she says.
Anyway, tomorrow I will be back on track for a day, then a family wedding and then Sunday starts a new week. :)
