It probably seems like my health is what I blog about here; that's for sure true. Sharing with others is a good form of support. Every once in awhile I even hear from someone who is in a similar place.

I'm at it again - treatment for the non hodgkins lymphoma. Fortunately it remains slow growing. It's been only several months since I last did this, which means the former type of treatment is not going to do it this time; I will need something a little stronger than just rituxan - which was so easy for me.

I'll be starting bendamustine plus rituxan in a couple of weeks .. .. .. no hair loss with that, which is a relief. It sounds like I may experience some big fatigue and rolling tummy.

On the VERY plus side, the doc feels pretty certain this round will knock it back:) This will be the 7th time I have been treated since 1995.

I finished treatment for non hodgkins lymphoma TODAY; this was my 6th time. I responded well:)

ILOVEMALI: I'm doing A+. I've had a 6 week post treatment check-up .. .. .. my bloodwork was great and so was the physical exam. At the end of this month I have the customary 3 month ct scan, with a doc appointment soon after. I feel pretty confident that I'm going to do well with that. I'm at the doc every 6 weeks for a port flush and every 3 months for an exam, so we usually able have a good idea where things stand. Again, thanks for thinking of me, I appreciate the support. .. .. .. chemo. I've been battling on hodgkins lymphoma since 1995. It keeps coming back & right now I'm being treated for the 6th time.

One good thing is that I've been responding to a low level of treatment; I'm not losing hair, nor do I look gaunt and pale:) Rituxan is easy stuff compared to what others get pumped into their veins.

Tomorrow will be my 3rd out of 4 sessions. I'm having blood work every week, too - to check up how well the ritixan is working. I may need some prednisone too ~ we'll see; hopefully not - it amps me up.

Except for treatment day, Im still working all my hours. I'm no more of a lump than I was before.

I'll keep y'all posted as to my progress.

It is going to be super hot in Connecticut today and for the next couple of days. Add that to the fact that I'm a little washed out and I have a great excuse to be lazy; but I am still going to walk a little.

Thru experience I found that a quick turn around the cul de sac gets the blood circulating and make my tired legs feel better.

I wanted to post this earlier, but the words just weren't flowing .. .. ..

I found out last Friday(6.1) that I've relapsed, yet again, with non hodgkins lymphoma. The doc sent me for a ct scan and more definitive bloodwork on Saturday.

I've been fighting this since 1995-6. The first remission was glorious - I sailed along until 2006 and it keeps coming back to me.

This will be the 6th time I have needed treatment. I see my doc on Tuesday(6.12) He's going to share whatever new info he has then, which will help us make a decision as to treatment.

On the plus side, this is not stopping me from doing what I usually do:) I'm going to work and getting things done in the yard. This morning I am going to enjoy a grocery shopping trip to super Wal Mart(yes, I actually get into it:). I'm also preparing to celebrate my husband's 59th birthday with a little gift shopping - shhhhhhhhhhhh.

I think my illness is quite possible tougher on him than it is on me.
