I was looking at motivational quotes, and came across one that I felt has multiple meanings for me. Crave for a thing, you will get it. Renounce the craving, the object will follow you by itself.

Cravings are a big problem for me. If I give into that ice cream craving, I get it. If I renounce it, the ice cream still seems to trail me...

At the same time, I think I should be craving weight loss more.... maybe it'll help...

frustration

Work has been frustrating...keep getting more dumped on me, pay ain't going nowhere, benefits getting reduced, schedule sucks. Stuck sitting all day. can't afford to buy stuff that would allow me an easier time exercising...and it's showing in that I'm craving not good things.

trying to get through day

This week has been busy at work. I'm having difficulty finding motivation to keep up with it

    Really busy, stressful days or weeks can make it more difficult to find the time to exercise or plan healthy meals.

But sometimes all you need to stay on track at times like that is to commit to a 10 minute walk each day. Buy precut fresh veggies and bags of salads. Throw some precooked chicken or light string cheese on top. In other words, find simplified ways of eating good meals and fitting in some activity. You can even add in extra activity during your workday like using the stairs, parking farther away, and taking a short walk on your lunch break.

Just realize that busy times are a part of our lives. You don't want to give up on your efforts every time one of those days comes along. Plan ahead, food-wise. Maybe cook extra of each dinner and stock the freezer with these healthy leftovers that you can just pop in the microwave for lunch or dinner.

Whatever you do to get through these busy times, just don't give up on your efforts. Even baby steps are better than backtracking.

I'm happy! I finally got a kudos at work.


Our biggest challenge and enemy is ourselves. We're not trying to race against the person running next to us, is the voice in our head telling us that we're tired and to walk. Push through it and prove it wrong.
