I'm happy today - I've been looking back over the last week at my food journal, and noticed that I am finally back on track and have been doing good for the last few days after gotten majorly off track for the fourth of july. Now to keep it up.

    I have days like that - today being one of them! I always keep some carrots/celery/cauliflower etc in the fridge. I find going down to the office kitchen to get a handful and chewing on them helps me to destress.

That or a short walk around the block - come back refreshed and not hungry anymore.

You may lose a few minutes work time but you gain in the amount of work you put out in the long time.

Don't stress out about being stressed out! Won't help anyting!

remodeling: love hate relationship

I am finding I have a love/hate relationship with remodeling. I bought my first place a little over a year ago. Because of a tight budget, I had to get a place that needs fixing up (the least amount of what I looked at) and am now doing the remodeling myself. It is such a love/hate relationship. I hate that it takes absolutely forever doing the work by myself and I hate doing the work. But it is such good exercise.

Had my first really bad week - went up 2.2 pounds. I would have to say my down fall this week was that it was hot, so I got lazy and didn't want to heat up my kitchen and I was craving fatty meats. I do want to figure out what I can do to help with that kind of craving. And, to top it off, had the sister and niece in town....

    Don't dwell on it - we all have times where we aren't making the progress we want. As far as those cravings go, I find that having a BIG bowl of healthy fruit or veggies with a small helping of what I'm craving really seems to help. I get filled up with food my body needs and still get that small taste of what I really want, so it's a win all around.

Take a step back, refocus, and move on. Don't let past choices define your future - each day, each minute is a chance to pick up, dust off, and start moving forward! emoticon

I hate that time can be such a drain on a diet. It is one of the biggest challenges I am facing right now. I am so trying to come up with ways to multitask (like trying to do leg exercises while sitting on my desk doing my work).

    Where does the time go? I'm considering buying a mini cycle exercise bike. Then I could pedal while watching TV or while using the computer.
