Well this is probably the hardest blog I have ever written as our old tom is very sick and is going to be going in tomorrow (I thought I was going to be OK until I realised the finality of it all).

We are a family of cat lovers and currently have four. Our newest is named Sam. Thinking of you at this difficult time. Our furry friends are such great comfort.

I am so sorry about your dear cat. It is still hard to think of my pup Pookie, we lost her a few years ago.

Cat Bed (as promised)

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Well today is interesting. It started out with a malady best described as "intestinal distress" (whether this is my punishment for being stupid enough to think I could eat habanero peppers on New Years Eve) I am not sure. All I know is that I am trying to deal with in and still fit in running around and exercising etc. Oh and bringing up the beast's bed. Here it is in its unvarnished (literally) ugliness (at least they seem to like it).

Nice - it looks like your cats are enjoying being in the bed :) emoticon

No I just set it up and they went over and started using it. I was sure relieved as I built it without plans and hardly any measurements (just winged it) - I was afraid that they were going to run into the top rail and give themselves a concussion.

Wow, it's cool AND they're using it! Wish I could get cats to do what I want. Did you line them with catnip? :)

But, but , but, they're just cats! They sleep where they please. In fact they do everything as they please. Ours has a perfectly good cat bed and curls up around our cable modem ... because it's warm?

Great kitty beds! My 6 year old granddaughter would LOVE to paint that for you. It would be "rainbow" I'm sure...with lots of pinks and purples and glitter. haha. No matter what our pets are, they are MADE to spoil, so keep up the good work!

Loved the kitty hotel. I showed it to my hubby and he says the kitties are spoiled. LOL.

I have the intestinal malady to day too. Great way to start the new year. LOL.

Hubby's comment was it's very well made (not that my comment would be of use as I have no idea about these things).

but the cats love it that makes it 10/10.

Great work.

Sorry about the peppers too.

not too bad so far.

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Well so far I have not been doing too bad- I think I need to exercise more as I am no longer getting any sort of DOMS. Would be doing a lot better if I could stick to strictly eating healthy. But I don't want to change too much too fast. Have a great weekend.

Think you're on the right lines, in terms of not doing too much at once. In the past I've set myself too many challenges and tasks and ended up getting overwhelmed. This time I'm taking it much slower and feel like I'm slowly creating sustainable habits.

I try to be good most of the times...but at times I let go and enjoy myself having all those unhealthy food in modesty. It keeps me going!

    Start slowly making small changes,

like I love chocolate so I changed to dark chocolate and ate one row a day and then down and down till now I only want one piece every couple of days.

the biggest thing I did was advise from my Dad-- chew at least 20 times on each mouthful --it was amazing, I was actually tasting the food instead of gobbling it down.

Small steps get to the prize. emoticon
