Not too much to say except I am on the right side of the dirt and I got some good feedback on what I ate today (for the MOST part- generally I am getting crap for eating too much sodium - which is surprisingly EASY ). One less day until the weekend!!!

    Trying to stay within the sodium guidelines is the worst! Believe it or not, for me at times it is harder than cutting back on sugar. No matter what we do, it seems to be in everything! Maybe if you incorporate more whole foods into your meals, but sodium will gradually decrease. Good luck!

I totally know what you are talking about. For me, it is potassium. I can NEVER, EVER get enough potassium. I eat bananas, I eat prunes, I eat spinach, nope..not enough potassium. I do not get it. Sodium can be a little difficult for me also. I think it does have to do a lot with the processed foods.

Right side of the dirt. I like that :)

    I find that if I eat clean and avoid processed foods my sodium is good. Otherwise it sucks.

    Sodium is the hardest thing for me to's crazy how much sodium is hidden in food, and I can only afford so much fresh or frozen produce instead of canned.

No more rants except to note I HATE the meds the gp put me on !! I was reading all the side effects and contraindication and am now paranoid about drinking milk and I noticed it said I MIGHT get a blown out tendon (like my Achilles- I like my Achilles). Yuck.

I guess in some ways its been better than most weekends as I generally seem to go out for fattier breakfasts and tend to run off the rails. Some days I get real discouraged witht his sometimes I feel like I am just going therough the motions and trying to rack up the points rather than remembering I am trying to improve myself. At times I would be lying if I didn't say that this whole thing takes up WAY TOO MUCH of my spare time and that if I could take the time I "waste" entering all of this stuff and walked for EVEN HALF of it I would tend to think I would be better off right now (but then we all know that this is NOT likely to happen inertia being what it is), NO PROGRESS ON THE FENCE AS the weather is crap and I really didn't feel like it (maybe towards the end of next week ).

    Hi, I am a CATHOLIC CRITTER. I am just coming to say "hi" and remind you that you can do this. About how much time do you spend on here to update and track or something. I am curious, because I used to spend a LOT Of time on here doing it, but I found some short cuts. Do you try and get ALL the points? Including te v videos? Just think..if you do the exercise videos even 2 short 10 minute ones that is 20 minutes exercise RIGHT THERE. Also, huddle and post to the message boards at the same time. Also, share to fb/twitter and read your articles at the same time. Just some things that took me a while to figure out. :P

I hope you Saturday is blessed and remember emoticon emoticon . Even if you aren't feeling it right, the fact that you are HERE is a first step. *hugs*

Well I decided a couple of days ago to call in sick today so I stayed home (I still had to phone in so I still had to deal with you-know-who). But it ws legit as I have been having what might be politely be described as "men's troubles" - I was so sad that my GP was not there as he seems to delight in the associated exam. Fortunately, the other doc declined that and just prescribed me some antibiotics. Its gonna be great when they finally kick in .

This afternoon i went to the "big building" as I volunteered to get the mail and it was sort of slow and the boss was at a meeting so I went and talked to my friend who works in the stores dept as his boss retired and I hadn't seen him for almost a month- Don is great because he has been there for longer than me and he seems to talk to a lot more people than I do over the course of a day and he seems to know more about how things really run here (including more about the collective agreement) plus there was a lady helping him who kind of overheard some stuff I was telling him and I think she may have been involved with the union at one time or other. The funny thing is that Don almost seems to enjoy reminding how I am not the ONLY one who thinks my boss is an arse. So I left there feeling better about my self .
