Well I decided a couple of days ago to call in sick today so I stayed home (I still had to phone in so I still had to deal with you-know-who). But it ws legit as I have been having what might be politely be described as "men's troubles" - I was so sad that my GP was not there as he seems to delight in the associated exam. Fortunately, the other doc declined that and just prescribed me some antibiotics. Its gonna be great when they finally kick in .

Not sure what men's issues are and I really don't want to know but I hope you are over this quickly. LOL.

thursday (friends)

Thursday, October 18, 2012

This afternoon i went to the "big building" as I volunteered to get the mail and it was sort of slow and the boss was at a meeting so I went and talked to my friend who works in the stores dept as his boss retired and I hadn't seen him for almost a month- Don is great because he has been there for longer than me and he seems to talk to a lot more people than I do over the course of a day and he seems to know more about how things really run here (including more about the collective agreement) plus there was a lady helping him who kind of overheard some stuff I was telling him and I think she may have been involved with the union at one time or other. The funny thing is that Don almost seems to enjoy reminding how I am not the ONLY one who thinks my boss is an arse. So I left there feeling better about my self .

well to be brutally honest I did not enjoy today - of course it was compounded by the fact that it felt like I got about 2hours of sleep last night- I think I figured out my boss -the only reason he gave a crap about what happened yesterday was because he was worried it made HIM look bad and nothing else. What a nasty piece of work.

My sleep cycle has been messed up again too. I hate it but it is what is is. I hope you sleep better soon and that the work situation improves. Toxic jobs suck the life out of you.

It's tough when you have to work with someone like that, either a co-worker or a boss. I've worked in places where I like the job, hate the people, and vice versa. Not sure which is better though ;) Can't seem to get both at the same time. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

Sounds like a sad man. Try not to let him get under your skin! Is he worth your peace of mind? Or a piece of your mind? emoticon Just kidding! Don't get fired, the job market sucks! Hang in there!

No not the kind on here!! I went and laid out where I wanted the darn posts for the fence which was NOT easy when you are like me ( I can be anal to a fault when it comes to trying to get things the way I want them). I tough to sae time and trouble I would reuse the old 4x4 posts turned out that they were cedar of all things coupled with those temporary steel mounts that look like big tent peg with a socket on top to receive the cut end of the fence post. Well "clever " me I thought it was best to put the post IN and then to drive the whole thing home well nearly 2 hours later , a broken dead-blow hammer and 5 BLISTERS (2 of which opened ) LATER I finally had the stupid thing in - that being AFTER having the bright idea of using Bessy's box to stand in to drive in the post - of course getting in involved TEARING my abdominal to point of cussing as it was parked in the backyard. Need less to say it was a great feeling to get the posts in as that is the worst part the rest is not as hard. I just need to tweak them a bit as far a height but I can do that nest week and then its just going to take me a few hours here and there to put the fence boards back on as its just temporary
