well I finally got down to starting the fence (it always seems like something or someone gets in the way of my projects) I am glad to say at least I got a START. I intend to try to finish tomorrow, which will be nice as it will be one thing off of my list and will free up some time NEXT weekend for things I WANT to do.

My "to do" list is way too long as well. I want a "to done" list.

I guess I didn't have too terrible a day although I am GLAD its over. i took a couple of advil at work (we have such a great medicine cabinet) and I discover WHY they "candy coat " the outside as I left them in my mouth too long - gross!!! I hope everyone has a good weekend.

The liquid gels are great for headaches - although I've never had them leak in my mouth, I bet that would be awful.

I have never tried an Advil. I know a lot of people who really like them.

the back

Thursday, October 11, 2012

I ended up spending most of the day sorting through defective parts that someone (YES YOU GUESSED IT) has to send back to the supplier. And no they were not light
Mercifully my back was OK until I coughed at supper time and tore (?!!!) something at least that's what most closely describes it. So I am soon going to finish up my tasks for the night and put some more heat on it. I am so glad it was a short week.

Try alternating 15 minutes of ice, followed by 15 minutes of heat and alternate back and forth. It seems to short circuit the pain. Works for me.

We got an early "gift" from Mother Nature today (no I will NOT blame this on God the Father) an unwanted one in the form of a cold front that started out as rain and then it turned to wet snow and then to snow - I took a picture of the backyard someone forgot we are NOT supposed to get anything like this until AFTER the end of the month. Fortunately it is NOT staying. I think I pulled a muscle at work today throwing out prisoner shields from cars we are no longer building. Tomorrow is going to be interesting to say the least. And thanks to everyone who commented on yesterday's - I plan to try to keep at it- its the ONLY way to improve.

Total ugh. Unlike many people I am not a fan of snow. I don't want ANY but I guess it's better than ice.

an interesting attempt

I went and tried to do some pilates with a ball. Not very successful but then at least I tried perhaps if I keep at it I might get better.

I'm sure you will. I couldn't even hike a mile or two when I first started trying to hike and had to use a walking stick because I was so unsteady on my feet. Now I'm taking on 4 and 5 mile hikes with no stick :) If you like it, then keep at it! I tried pilates once and I looked like a dying fish flopping around on the floor. But at some point I may try again :)

I know it's not the same, but in a similar vein: When I started out I went out for a 10 minute walk. I was exhausted and I needed a nap. Now I run half marathons and I have run two full marathons.
