I hate swanson

Thursday, July 05, 2012

I was doing OK today in spite of myself and then "someone" decided she would do me a favour and buy me a TV dinner for supper ( Hungry Man Turkey - its sort of OK except I keep thinking about cracking jokes about how HUNGRY you HAVE to be to eat it in the FIRST place!!) So even though I didn't eat all that much however with 1570 mg in ONE serving it made my sodium soar!! And NOT in a GOOD way - so be warned. I didn't realise it would be that bad (it doesn't taste like it was marinated in SEAWATER!!). I guess I will think twice before buying those again (at least in the near future - I would have been better off opening a tin of salmon or a few other things).

Yes, frozen dinners - sodium's best friend. The the rest of the night you are chugging water like a fish! You live, you learn, you move on.

We buy them sometimes. When you are desperate you make do but they are the worst kind of frankenfood.

I have been eating a lot of fruit, veggies, chicken and fish. I have been found to be sensitive to 9 foods and it seems very difficult sometimes because I have to cut out excess sodium, all wheat and other gluten containing foods, soy products, dairy products (cow and goat), pork, onions, green beans, peanuts, eggs and cottonseed oil. (and 1 more I can't remember)....

I am sure your Swanson dinner had at least 5 of those foods. I have to carry a magnifying glass to the grocery store cause they write the ingredients way too small.

Well apparently I wanted to say more but now I just forgot what I was going to type.Just rode 45 minutes on the stationary bike so I am somewhat pooped. Still have to lift weights but I have more time than usual and I have all my points so I will be going soon.

I get the beginning of the work week blahs today as I had yesterday off for Dominion Day ( yes there is a movement to change the name back from Canada Day not that I would mind). I had a hard but busy day (I bought a do rag to wear to work I don't think they cared for it but I thought "too bad" ) so I was glad it was over - I only got 5 or so hours sleep last night and I rode my bike tonight so I am dragging. Good Night.

Canada Day (Observed)

Monday, July 02, 2012

I had today off still as yesterday was a stat and my regular day off. Thank goodness for regular weeks. Today was hotter than I had expected - I slept in as I had trouble falling asleep last night. Did do a lot did some housework and exercised a bit (got more to do yet). At least its another short week. Have a good week.

Not too much to add still mucous city. So much for the long weekend (I hope to make it into work for Tuesday ) although I am planning to take Friday off as I need to get the stitches out. My do kinds scared me when he said that there were two (two different types of course) sets in (apparently I needed stitches INSIDE my scalp as well) . Yikes.

I think the internal sutures usually dissolve on their own.

I hope you feel better soon. I have been having some post nasal drip and wheezing. Ugh.
