work bluesWednesday, March 14, 2012A tow truck carrying a trailer that tried to go under a railway trestle that connects to the "high-level" (a bridge in Edmonton if you ever saw it you would know why its named that) and nicely snagged some power lines by where I work hence we lost most of the shop lights (I think we have 3 phase power and we lost 2 of the phases and that's why some things worked and others didn't) we had 5 fluorescent lights going . We still had to work and then at 4 I got to try to dive home with no traffic lights. There were cops directing traffic by then so it wasn't TOO BAD just stressful. ![]()

here I am again at the computer with writer's block always seems to happen whenever Idecide to write a Blog why I don't know. Had another Fun filled week at work and then had to go to a 50 the birthday party on Friday evening and then did the usual Saturday thing with one exception went out to a local dept store that had breakfast in its restaurant for the LAST time EVER as the parent chain (Hudson Bay company) decided to sell off most of the store's leases to either Walmart or Target (of course we have to get the Walmart- I d rather still have the Zeller's store here). The store itself closes in early June (kind of sad) and as I say I have NO LOVE for Wal mart (especially as we lost a lot of Canadian chains like Eaton's , Woodwards & others thanks in part to them). I think things were better when I was a kid.

I agree - things were better when we were kids. We didn't have as many choices back then in some areas but the quality was often better. Not a fan of WallyWorld either. They cater to a certain shopper who isn't me. Comment edited on: 3/13/2012 4:01:40 PM Report Inappropriate Comment |
