My wife and I are changing some rooms around in the house and one of them is going to be a workout room. Coincidentally, the decorations in the room will be Steelers as well. The only problem is that the room used to be my daughters' playroom and is currently lavender. So, I may have a purple Steelers workout room until I can get it painted. Anyway, great room and country music. Go Steelers!!

MY extra SKIN!!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

YES I have made my weightloss goals BUT YES I do have extra skin. Remember I have lost 173lbs this LAST time around & I did at one time weigh in at 364lbs maybe more before I did get weighed in on a freight scale cause back then thats the only way they could get my whole weigh amount (NOT that I wanted to know). BUT Here is the true me!! I weigh in at 124lbs this morning & yeah I flux in my weight which is normal. Ya all asked me about it well here ya all go.. THE REAL ME!!..

I honestly did not imagine it would be like that. I feared the worst but it aint bad.Dont they say that you can still tone up eventually and the skin is like elastic, just like it took years to accommodate you it will time to look better than this. good job for saving your life.

OK, so please do not be offended, BUT, to know that it isn't AS bad as I imagined it to be takes alot of the "fear" I have been experiencing about losing weight and having extra skin. I realize my body is different and my extra skin may look or be different than yours, but the knowledge that I can lose that amount of weight and still look good, at least in clothes, well that's awesome! I was thinking... the loose skin looks better than the fat puffed out belly and not to mention, it is healthier and you can bend over, etc..., ya know?

Anyway, thanks again for sharing, you are a brave woman!

You are so amazing to let people know what happens after the weight loss. I look forward to hearing what happens next. I often wonder if it takes a few years to shed off the excess skin that your body no longer need. It is SO obvious that your real body underneath is incredibly fit, that it is as if you are wearing an extra article of clothing on top. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you! It really is nice to konw I am not the only one.

Of course, like you, I am just so thankful to have lost the weight that I can live with the excess skin - that is why we wear clothing! And I can get me and all my excess skin into smaller clothes than I ever thought possible.

I need to think about it, but I should do the same thing with my legs. There is no shame in reaching 58 and having loose skin anyway! And you look fabulous!

I LOVE pasta, but have rarely had it in my new lifestyle, although I do allow myself one thin slice of full fat old cheese a day! Good thing there is nothing like that here!! Just Asian where I fill my plate up with veggies -the only cooked ones I will eat because they are nice and crunchy instead of overcooked like most North American veggies are. Haven't been to that place either.

I want to thank you for sharing so much of yourself on SP. After reading your blogs and watching your videos today, you are an inspiration to me.

One thing I learned something about was having AT LEAST 1200 calories (or whatever diet someone may be on). I thought that having smaller amounts and going below my recommended daily calorie count would be better and help me lose weight faster. But you said that you always need to get at least 1200. I hope I understand that right. :)
