Day 33 P90x

I took Friday and Saturday off due to the Easter holiday. Today, I will get back at it on day 33. I haven't really seen any weight loss, but am feeling better and am developing muscle. I am going to work on the diet more as I have not been very good about healthy eating. Old habits are truly hard to break. I am going to try to add a little extra cardio as well.

I am not looking forward to yogaX today. It is my least favorite workout! I have been feeling disappointed because I had done P90x for 2 weeks and tweaked my diet somewhat (that is still a work in progress) and no results. However, today the scale finally moved by a couple of pounds and this morning I noticed that my arms are much firmer. Ok, now I have the motivation to keep going! I did P90x about 5 years ago and did not lose any weight until the second month. I think that at that time, I wasn't putting forth the same amount of effort into the workouts that I am now, so I am hoping for better results this time. I do feel much better already, even though I am not seeing a lot of weight loss (and I do realize that I may be gaining muscle which affects my weight). Yesterday, I walked up the stairs to my bedroom and, when I reached the top, realized that I wasn't out of breath, not even a little. Now that was a great feeling. I am getting more in shape and feeling better every day! I have a total of around 65 pounds to lose. Today is March 14 and I am hoping to be at least 20 pounds thinner by June.

Today is day 9 on P90x...plyometrics. I have discovered that I dislike the Monday workouts the worst because of all the pushups. However, since I am unable to do pushups, yesterday I substituted bench presses. I am sore all over, in a good way. I don't really think I have lost any weight yet. Of course, my husband's pants are becoming looser. Well, good for him. My eating is still somewhat out of control, but I am getting better about tracking my intake and that is going to help me along this journey. I know that in order to lose weight I will have to change what and how much I eat. Baby steps.

Started P90x yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I remember from 5 years ago. I think that is because I did a bootcamp last summer and worked out harder than I ever thought I could. I am a little sore right now...
