This sure has been an interesting first week. For starters, I am a runner and was finally able to break through a plateau this week to get to my longest distance of 9km. When I look back on the progress I have made these past few months since I began to excersize regularly , I am amazed and quite pleased, I never thought I would be able to run for an entire hour without stopping. My difficulties however lie in motivation and diet.I have gone a little over my calorie limit each day (by about 50 cals) though I can,t Quite figure out why. I don't want to be eating so many that's for sure and I would like to eat a more nutritious diet but when snack time comes I seem to reach for carb rich foods over fruits Mind you, My diet has improved as far as I can tell from previous weeks and months and I do need to remember that this was only my first week of many, that I cannot reach my goal weight and fitness level overnight and that no one is perfect straight out of the gate.
How was your first week on sparkpeople? Were you able to meet all your nutritional/ activity goals? How did you stay motivated if you deviated?
