The big 30 today

Thursday, May 10, 2007

Today is my 30th birthday and I swear I don't feel 30. A lot of my friends had a big problem turning 30 but it doesn't even feel like that big of deal to me. It is also my stepsons 11th birthday today and we will be having cake and pizza for supper tonight so hopefully I can manage to behave myself. I lost 2 pounds this week and am back on track and don't want to mess it up.
I have pretty much maintained my weight since February and after seeing the scale go down 8-10 pounds a month before then its just frustrating to maintain.
I am back on track now and no more excuses. I set a goal of 186 by May 31st so I am going to try my hardest to reach that goal. Now I am off to work out.

Feeling better every day

Thursday, March 22, 2007

I am healing from surgery and am feeling more like myself every day. I go to the doctors today for a check up to see how I am doing and am hoping everything is good. Right now I have a weight limit of lifting no more than 10 pounds and am hoping that it gets changed to 20 today. I do daycare in my home and my wonderful husband has been helping me since I can't lift the kids yet. He goes back to work in a couple of weeks (does construction) and I am hoping that I to be back to normal by then. I was down to 190 but not being able to exercise I put on a couple of pounds that I am now trying to get off. Maybe I can start doing more shortly. It is crazy but I miss doing my daily crunches. Now that my chest is smaller I swear that my tummy got larger. My mom I think trying to be funny told me it is not bigger but now I can actually see it where as I couldn't before because of my large chest..LOL.

Survived my surgery

Monday, March 12, 2007

Well I made it through my breast reduction surgery and am recovering and just going crazy. I am not supposed to lift anything over 5 pounds or do household chores for 2 weeks and living in a messy house when I can't do anything about it is no fun. I got home from the hospital on Thursday and right away I had to weigh myself....REALLY bad idea I found out. I weighed 196 more than I weighed before hand. They had me so pumped full of fluids that I didn't even think that would make that big of a difference but yes it did. I am losing all that though and weighed in this morning at 190. I can't really exercise for awhile yet besides a little walking around my house. I will be happy when things get back to normal and I can start up my regular exercise program again.

Very glad to hear your surgery went well. You rest like the doctors say and take care of yourself.

Glad to hear that you are ok. I also want that surgery... Just very scared. Everything will get back to normal tho. Just don't stress about the house... it will get done eventually.

Another week

Friday, February 23, 2007

I have made it another week without any bad days..yipee!! After being away for a week on vacation I was worried that I would gain but I managed to only put on 1 pound. As of Wed. my weigh in day I was down 2 pounds + lost the pound I gained on vacation so that was definatley a boost. I am feeling better about myself and even liking what I am seeing in the mirror for once. I still have a ways to go to meet my goal but feeling so positive I know I will do it!!

Sounds like you're doing a great job! Congrats on your total weight loss.

Thank you so much for the note. I'm still learning my way around the site. Hope you don't mind, but I joined a couple of the groups you had on your front page. :)

another weigh in

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

I weighed in today with a 1.5 loss. Went from 199.5 to 198 and hope to keep on losing. I don't want to see that 200 mark ever again so I am hoping that my vacation coming up next monday to Vegas doesn't add to my weight. I know we will be doing a lot of walking so I hope to at least maintain my weight.
I have lost 30 pounds in 3 months and just can't believe that I have stayed on track and not given up in that time. Weight loss is hard work but it can be done and If I can do it anyone can. Using spark has helped me lose weight faster than when I was trying on my own. I felt more accountable and got so much motivation from the teams I am on.
