My new favorite breakfast is Chobani vanilla yogurt, about 4 oz, with 1/4 cup of blueberries and a couple of tablespoons of homemade granola. Delish!

Stuck to my plan today, but didn't really exercise b/c it was really cold and yucky outside. No excuse for not walking inside, but I didn't. Tomorrow is another day, and supposed to be a sunny one, too, so I'll get back in gear then. For tonight, I'm watching the finale of Haven, finally!

  


It's Raining Again

Glad for the rain because we need it, but it's raining hard enough that I'm not terribly thrilled about the idea of going for a walk in it today. I'll have to find something else to do for my ten minute exercise streak. Shoulders are a little sore from lopping grape vines yesterday evening. Kinda bummed that when I weighed this morning I was only .2 pound down from last Wednesday. I know that is better than gaining or even maintaining, and I'm already slightly ahead of my 1 pound a week goal, but can't help but be a little disappointed.

Still...the point is not necessarily to lose weight, but to be healthy. Eat better, move around more. Do it now, not later, because it will just get harder later. I know this, but convincing the inner me to think rationally isn't always easy. If it was, I wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

Edited to add: apparently I was wrong. I'm down a pound from last Wednesday. The .2 must have been from earlier this week. That will teach me not to hop on the silly scale more than once a week!

Ow. Raked more leaves. Lopped a bunch of grape vines. If there is anything more tenacious than wild grape, I don't know what it is. Kudzu, maybe. Hoping none of it was poison ivy. That would be bad.

Oh and I walked my half a mile, too.

Too tired to blog much. Stuck to 2 pieces of pizza last night, and it was excellent. Homemade whole wheat crust is yummy, will definitely stick with that from now on. Stuck to my plan today, didn't go over or under anything, including the fiber goal. Yay! Kids got all their school work done, and I raked some leaves this afternoon. Early bed time tonight.
