The weather is affecting my nutritional intake

Yesterday, it was so hot and humid that my boyfriend and I could not cook or even eat in our apartment, so we went to Applebee's. We didn't even care where we went, but we just had to go somewhere with air conditioning! We do have AC but only in our bedroom, and we have fans in every other room. My dinner last night was pretty horrific. To be honest, I know I had the option to eat more healthily but I didn't. That's my own fault. But damn, the humidity is killing me!

    I hear you! Yesterday was like that for me (didn't help that it was my birthday, total excuse to eat terribly), today has been better, but not by much. Stay strong... and cool!!

I had such a great weekend! I was both productive and relaxed. I both spent a lot of time with my boyfriend and alone. It was basically a perfect weekend!

Provided it doesn't rain anymore, I'm going to play softball tonight for the first time in several weeks! The first few weeks were because we couldn't play because it was either raining or the fields were drenched. But the last two weeks, I haven't been able to play because of my allergic reaction to my thyroid medication, which caused itchiness, hives, and joint pain. Yesterday was the first day I didn't have any joint pain in weeks. Before that I had pain in my shoulders, neck, back, left ankle, and several fingers on both hands. I was so excited yesterday to say for the first time that I had no joint pain! Then starting last night my left knee hurt, which continued to this morning. But as the day progressed I have no more pain! It's so overcast today and it rained this morning. It's not supposed to rain more today, so hopefully that holds true and the fields are OK too!

I'm not someone who's regularly kept a journal or blog before. I sort of like it. It's just a way to get my thoughts out in a coherent way. I took a trip to New Zealand a few years ago, and I kept an excellent journal every single day. I knew I'd want to be able to remember everything I did and everywhere I went, and also match it up with my photos. It wasn't always easy but I wrote everything in that journal. I did it because I knew I'd want it in the future. It was a goal. I want to start thinking of my other goals in the same way...

This weekend kind of sped by. Saturday seemed pretty long but yesterday seemed too short. Maybe that's just because it was Sunday and I knew today was coming. It's not that I even dislike coming to work. I've just always had an issue with things ending. I used to stay up so late when I was younger (until pretty recently actually), even if I was tired. I just couldn't bare having the day be over if I didn't feel like it was satisfactory enough. It took me a little while to understand why I felt that way, but now I don't really have a problem going to sleep earlier.
