Another day

I'm doing alright today. I ate a nice breakfast of nonfat blueberry yogurt, fresh strawberries, a peanut butter/chocolate chip granola bar, and a cup of tea. I'm pretty hungry already for lunch, but I'll wait a little longer. I do really well at work with breakfast and lunch, and even snacks. Dinner is usually OK, sometimes better and sometimes worse. But, late-night snacking is still my downfall. It's just so hard not to snack at night! I've tried a few different things but in the end, I don't have great will power at that time of day.

    The evenings are the worst for me, too. Sit in front of t.v. and "think" about doing an exercise. I have been pushing myself to get on the floor and do a few crunches. I have Suduko puzzle books and Crosswords handy to keep hands busy instead of shoving food into my mouth !!!

I really need to upload a new photo...trouble is, I haven't taken one in a while. I want one that's full-body, so it can compare/contrast with my others. I'll work on it. :)

So, I started using the nutrition tracker again on Monday. This is my third day back on it. I also went to the gym on Monday after 2.5 weeks of not going. It felt really good, not to mention I didn't have to wait for an elliptical! Also, I got my favorite kind! Another great thing is that I wore two pairs of pants this week that were too tight to wear, for several months. I'm psyched!


Four weeks into the program

I've been back on SP for a little over four weeks now. I've had some great days and some not-so-great days. I'm proud of a lot of the little things I've done differently/better. An example: My boyfriend and I went to the movies. He got popcorn. I didn't eat any! I love popcorn, so that was hard. It smelled good and I knew it would taste good. I was hungry too! But I didn't do it. I have plenty of healthier popcorn at home that I can eat whenever I want. This is the type of thing I try to remember when I'm having one of those not-so-great days. I know I'll do better as time goes on, and I don't need to beat myself up for the non-accomplishments (I don't want to use the word "failures"). I've been to the gym six times in the last three weeks, which is a great accomplishment. I've dropped four pounds and I'm feeling better in my clothes (and out of them). If this is what four weeks looks like, I can't wait to see/feel/know myself in four more!
