Stomach problems

My stomach has been on fire lately, waking me up at night. I went on treatment for a peptic ulcer but it didn't do any good. I don't eat at night but sip on a small glass of wine which now, I am reading, is the wrong thing to do. I didn't have any wine last night and my stomach was a little better, so I'll leave it out from now on. Hope it get's better.

    I dunno----I get a bad tummy when I eat the wrong foods-=-Is it the wine??----It's horrible eh?--Lynda

    Try some anti-acids like Tums and see if that helps. Otherwise, I suggest you see your doctor because it could be symptomatic of many things.

I'm back at the school again this year and come home exhausted after working with the 2 & 3 graders. Today my thighs were screaming when I walked down the stairs this morning for tea...all that tandem riding is paying off. Now if I could only quit snacking at night!

    I struggled, what seemed like forever, with the night time eating. I made an addition to my diet (not to help with snacking) and found a wonderful side effect was that I wasn't compelled to snack at night. I just don't feel the urge. I added Psyllium (fiber) to my smoothy or something else I consume during the day. It is amazing that those urges went away. I think that the longer you stay eating healthier the more those urges will go away. Good Luck! emoticon

Labor Day ride

Today beloved and I went on a Charity ride to raise money to build a well in Guatemala. We signed up for a 50 mile ride, but the directions were so poor, we got totally lost! Ended up riding our tandem 61 miles, nothing but hills!
In bed BEFORE 6:30pm! We are exhausted!

30 miles today

We just staggered back from another tandem ride...30 miles today and it was getting to be too hot! Lots of hill, I can feel my body getting stronger. Can't wait for cooler weather!

Another 20 miles

Finished another 20 miles on the tandem. The weather was cool and breezy which made it nice. At the end of the trail, where one has to turn around and head back, we split one peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread. So much healthier than the protein bars which can just be glorified candy! And coconut water makes a marvelous re-hydration drink being natural and no chemicals or preservatives.
